I realized this weekend that a few clips on the back panel of my soft top are broken - passenger side, top corner. Has anyone else had this problem? Will Ford replace or fix the clips? Thanks!

I had this problem with one of the rear passenger side bottom clip. It would be under warranty based off a conversation with a single person, from a dealership, on this forum (so take that info with a grain of salt) Take it in to your dealership service team and see what they say they can do

Warranty should cover it. There is an active TSB for this exact issue.

You could also DIY the fix with some wire, a pair of pliers, and a Dremel. Just take your Dremel to the red marks on the plastic and make sure not to go through the fabric itself, and then thread your wire through and twist tight.

Are you serious? Why would anybody do what you are suggesting if its under warranty? You do what your suggesting and warranty on that goes out the door.

I suggested it because I’m self sufficient and mechanically inclined, and others may be as well. For those people that don’t want to wait a day or two for someone else to fix their vehicle, this is an option.

And.....welcome to the board. Obvious or you know about one of the longer threads...

And since you don't....do NOT separate the rear corner from the rear window. They aren't designed to be taken apart....

And wondering how they broke?

What would be nice if there was a heavy duty zipper on each side of the rear window so a person could use the full opening in the back.

Had this exact issue. Took it into the dealer and rather than fixing it they replaced both side windows and the rear.

Something marginally interesting: the replacements side window vertical slides/connectors seem to be shorter than the ones they replaced (I have a MY22) so they're a little easier to get slid into the slots.

Also, they must have changed the clip on the bottom corners of the rear window (the place you push on to set the window into place), as I can no longer feel a tactile "set" when the window is pushed into place. With my old windows you could feel it clip in when it was in place.

This has been my ted talk using a the wrong words to describe stuff.
