Well, at least for the Sport, they held them various places depending on who was doing the fix. The recalls were held at the receiving yards and the chips units were sent to rot in the desert similar to dirt mountain. Not sure why they would just let it sit in the rail yard except, well, it’s Ford.

Mine sat in the receiving Rail Yard (Phoenix) for over 3 weeks after it showed delivered. Transit company filed the paperwork with Ford to say they picked it up and delivered it to my dealer, but it was really sitting out in the dirt at the rail yard. (not just mine either, they had 8 vehicles marked as delivered in the computer but they were actually never picked up.)

After seeing how the Badlands optional wheels were scheduled for that item and now you can't even change an order to include them, I'm starting to wonder if Ford is just eliminating groups of items to build.

So, I'm thinking they're doing the same with manuals. Schedule, build and clear them all out. What's next?

While this is probably a topic for a new thread, I think you are on to something and had the same thoughts. Ford seems to be scheduling and thus eliminating the lower take-rate models and options from queue regardless of what other constrained items they are paired with. The optional BL wheels are balanced out and the manual transmissions may be next.

It also seems that most, if not all, EG's, Bases and HE's have been scheduled out with only HE autos, and a few EG's (possibly a small number of Bases) remaining. If I was a betting man I would say the next round of specialty scheduling will include the remaining HE's autos. After that I am not sure.

Makes me wonder if those options and models are not going to be available when the order banks eventually open up to the public. And what other options or models may end up getting balanced out for MY23.

That does not appear to be the case. Apparently only Wildtrak customers can switch trims AND get the $2500 kicker.

Yeah, I've heard conflicting results from different people on this now. I'm trying to get to the bottom of it.

I wouldn’t mind a cheaper trim. And the $2500 but a big bend softie doesn’t excite me.

Just be careful when changing. All the remaining Base models at Granger got scheduled yesterday. So if you change to one, hard to say if you'd just get stuck again in limbo. No WIldtraks have been scheduled the past 3 weeks so maybe next round? Will not know until next week what they're scheduling Thursday.

I haven't been paying as much attention on this forum to the built but waiting threads as I didn't have a VIN until this week. I guess I have some more education coming! . The Bronco Sport forum is a much smaller group easier to keep track of the delivery issues even if they don't pertain to you.
