I wonder if we went on Toyota forums if people are complaining about similar things. Toyotas, especially the trucks are famous for crappy interiors, irregular gaps, squeaking etc.
Been on them for years, wife has a Pro. I don't care for Toyota myself but do say you never hear of the kinds of quality issues that you see on here. Rusting frames years past, yes, but that is not assembly related. Sad fact for a $50-60,000 vehicle. Deny all you want but when things normalize, quality will hurt Ford in the end. The use your warranty excuse is a BS answer. Who wants to trust your new expensive toy to some goober that doesn't give a shit.

The F150 has better quality control due to having more competition. People have options so that helps hold their feet to the fire on quality to an extent.

I totally agree. Ford is losing a lot of $ on warranty work and recalls already.
Agree. They did state that has to improve. Mine was good but there should be consistency from build to build. Seems to be hit and miss.

Once you figure out that the heritage part of the bronco is that it features 1960s build quality you find a bit of zen in the fact that yours is a snowflake and there is none other like it. At least the parts you buy for 1960s mustangs have a reason to not fit, they're built on 60yo tooling in Taiwan, we have stuff built in a modern production facility that still has similar fit and finish.

It's charming and frustrating, but as a classic Mustang owner, it's the norm and doesn't bother me as much as it probably does others.

I just ordered a Lexus GX 460 with the offroad package and V8. Have to admit, looking forward to a classic, boring, totally reliable ride with the best fit & finish in the world!

P.S. i apologize for feeling like a traitor!

Thankfully it’s under warranty. Still not happy? Don’t take posession and let someone else happily purchase it.

I get what you’re saying, but thankfully it’s all fixable under warranty.
In other words you’re saying;
you get what you get or no soup for you!!

That there is right there an integrated hood scoop. It allows for maximum air flow to the engine. We should be thanking Ford for this almighty revolution in automobile ingenuity!

Initial build quality on Ford is total garbage however most issues can be resolved by the owner and a little TLC or some trips to the dealer.

However - I commiserate OP. We pay a significant amount for these vehicles (arguably one of the most expensive decision consumers make - purchasing a vehicle) and in many cases many waited close to or over a year for their vehicle to be built.

To be built and have proper QC done before leaving the factory I think is really the bare minimum that you can ask from Ford, but their laissez fare attitude towards quality has bled down into the dealership too.

When showing the service manager how my doors don't align properly, are wavy, how my windows all roll down to various different positions, don't hit the weather seals in the same spots, ripped seams on the soft top.....

I was told, "look man, it's not a hand built vehicle. It's mass produced. What do you want?"

I have a 86, we can talk about sagging door hinges or misaligned body panels as it seems to still be a thing.

So ive been waiting 577 days not as long as most, and my wildtrak came in friday night , so i went to look at it saturday, i was so dissapointed when checking it over, 1) both doors were not flush sticking out about a quarter inch ,2) there was a hole in the weatherstripping above the drivers side door, 3) the window on the passenger side is bearly touching the top weatherstip (air leak) 4) the center weather stip between the 2 front mic top panels is sticking out on the end near the windshield, dont they check these things at the factory ?????
I had some of these same issues except the hole in the weather stripping. The other issues are easily correctable. There is a procedure in the service manual on how to align the windows correctly. Most people have the opposite problem of the windows being too high causing them to catch on the weather stripping when opening. The good news is its not a design problem and works perfectly when adjusted correctly. The problem is some dealers don't know how to do the procedure as it requires taking accurate measurements (https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...ng-when-opening-its-not-what-you-think.62628/). I had one door that needed adjustment, the dealers body shop did it while I waited. I haven't heard about holes in stripping before. My soft top has what I thought was a hole, but its the spot that allows the soft top to fold. Yes there are some quirks and issues Ford needs to work out, but I still wouldn't trade my Bronco for anything, and I feel even more strongly about driving Jeeps and other SUVs.

Actually a mass produced vehicle should have fewer issues than hand made. Ford needs to work on these build quality issues, that said the Bronco obviously has challenges most other lesser vehicles don't have but also what makes it so cool. A removable roof, frameless doors, removable almost everything. Yes I know Jeeps have all this too -- and they have plenty of issues too! My daughters husband is a Jeep fan, and is always complaining about something including a door that you have to strongarm to open. My Bronco is approaching 1 year, and I did have the door and window alignment issues which were easily corrected (did the window alignment myself), but aside from that no other issues. I still look forward to driving my Bronco everyday, and wouldn't trade it for anything.
