Hello all,

Originally scheduled for build week of 1/16/2023. Then last week I received an email from Ford that I was pushed back to a build week of 1/30/2023. Today when I check the “back door link” it indicates my build week is 1/23/2023. I have not received a new email from Ford with the 1/23/2023 build week.

What date do I believe? Obviously when I get a window sticker (not available yet) it will have my blend date, and I will have a better idea.

in the big scheme of it all, it is just a week difference. I have waited so long, it shouldn’t matter, but I am really excited to finally be getting closer to getting my Bronco. What have people seen from their experiences?

Thank you.

In my case I was scheduled for the last week of March 2022. A week later my build date was moved UP to the week that began with the last two days of February. It was built March 5. In reality anything is possible, and being moved up does occur. Good luck.

Just this evening I received another email from Ford confirming the change to 1/23 week.
so I guess the backdoor link gets the details a few days early.

You are correct… in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t really matter because we’re talking about the difference of a week or two.

I know it’s super hard to not think about it, but we’ve had people who build dates have moved 7+ times, others who are “built” but waiting for components, and now we have dozens of people with their Bronco’s collecting dust in a rail yard somewhere while they wait for a slot on the trucking schedule.

Point is… your built date moving by a week or two doesn’t give you any real indication as to when you’ll get your Bronco. We’ve been groomed by Amazon-style 2-3 days shipping when we know almost exactly when our package is going to arrive. But vehicles are very much not like your standard FedEx/UPS package. Have to reduce your expectations back to the days of when we ordered from catalogs over the phone and didn’t know when it would actually arrive at our door. ;)

BUT, to answer your question, my build date moved 4 times, I only got one “Your build date has changed” email, and in the end my Bronco was built two weeks after the date listed on Ford’s tracker and the email. Shipped shortly after that, only took 5 days to get to the destination rail yard… and then it sat in the rail yard for just under 3 weeks before it got picked up by a truck.
My build date was just moved for the 5th time in the last month. Moving 5 times in one month, Ford has no clue when they want to build my order lol.

You are right about one thing-Ford does not know when a build will actually occur. They can only estimate, and that is because they do not control the supply chain. Particularly microchips.

Has anyone heard this week, that they've been bumped from 1/16 to 1/23?
