Android Auto Coolwalk w/ Full Split Screen (Public Stable Release) Now Working in Bronco!

I updated my phone this morning, and I dont know if there was an automatic update in the bronco, but I now have full screen android auto.

I added some pics to see the changes. I have a Google Pixel 6 with android version 13.

I have a pixel 6 pro as well. Need to check on mine

Coolwalk looks like just an Android Auto update that came out Jan 5th.

This article goes over an option for clearing your Android Auto App cache to try and receive the update. If that doesn't work you can try side loading and this article goes over that as well.

The big update is available with version 8.6.6250 of Android Auto.

Yup. Mine updated too. And now my front and rear camera don't work when I press the camera button (but the rear works when i put it in reverse), my audio keeps cutting out, my phone no longer makes and receives calls properly, and when I skip a track it takes 10 seconds.

Anyone else having trouble with the update?

I think android auto don't support Fords screen size. Fords 12 screen has a new "switch" inside that newer version of AA and CP are supposed to be able to use. This is made evident by using multi media boxes.

Thanks, this worked. Even though one of the perks of having a Pixel is supposed to be first in line for updates, I was still on a Dec 1 version.

Now if my Bronco would just update that would be great.

No update on my 8-in. I'm starting to think it's for 12s only or at least in the beginning. The original tweet from Michael Levine mentioned it being rolled out to 12 in also. Hopefully it comes out because I can't stand the current way of having to get out of Android auto to do anything else.

I just got the update on mine, mid package. I haven't played with it to see what the difference is on the 8 inch screen, but I got the notification for the update itself in the Ford app.

I downloaded and installed Coolwalk on my phone, got the SYNC update as well. I don't see any difference on the 8" screen.

My Food app showed an installed update a few hours ago that included full screen CP and AA.

I haven't tested it.

Everything updated, looks the same. But since the screen is so small maybe doesn't work for it?

Can't get coolwalk to work on my pixel 6 pro. Go figure it wont update on googles own phone.

Even tried sideloading the apk and still nothing.

I wonder if I can get YouTube TV to play on the screen now.

I got the Magic Box for Christmas. Can watch YouTube, Netflix or Google anything on my 8" screen. Pricey but works great!
