@Theherofails

Good to hear your outcome was positive with the issues you had.

Question, in your opinion is the sway bar relocation plate necessary. I've seen mixed comments in the thread related to the Badlands needing it with electronic sway bar disconnect. Have the front and rear CDEV coilovers, and tubular UCA on order. Didn't order a stage kit as plan to go with the RockJock rear links and panhard. Was wondering if I needed to reach out to Dusty or Scott with Icon to find out if the swaybar spacer is included with the CDEV front shocks or has to be ordered separately..

@Dusty at ICON
I did not need the plate but added it for a bit more room just to be safe. I had swapped the bottom of the coils front to back (the bottom bolt rotates) and it opened up plenty of space for both my aftermarket tie rod reinforcement and the sway bar. Did not rub on either side at full flex.

You have to remove the sway bar from chassis as part of the install anyways so I recommend throwing it in while you’re at it if you can. The spacer was in the box with my replacement front coil over kit, so I’m hoping that means it’s included in all kits now.

Do you have pictures of the plate installed?

No, unfortunately not.

if you drop the sway bar skid, you’ll have one bolt and one nut per side holding on the sway bar itself. The nuts thread on to threaded inserts that you’ll need to remove. You can back them out with a socket or impact quite easily. Be gentle with the impact. Use the 4 new supplied pan head bolts to attach the billets to the chassis, one on each side. You’ll see the proper holes in the billets with cut outs to fit the pan head bolts. This moves your sway bar 1/2” lower and maybe 1-1.5” towards the rear of the vehicle. Reattach your sway bar when ready.

I’m going from memory, so hopefully somewhere in this is the info you need. There were no directions that I found with my kit but my mechanic and I got it figured out.

Thanks. Sounds like it removes some of the pressure off the swaybar that is induced from the lift. Did you notice any more articulation, especially up travel, after installing?
I'm wondering if this is just for the badlands swaybar or if it works on on the fixed one as well.

I can’t say for sure if at all because the icon coilovers increased my droop a noticeable amount by itself and I didn’t test them apart.

I received and installed the Icon swaybar spacer kit. I also installed the upgraded steering rack and tie rods (wildtrak hoss 3.0 parts) on my badlands. Plenty of clearance now!

How did you get the rack to program and work?

I recently installed the Icon stage 3 coilover setup on my wifes new 23 Wildtrak, the stance and ride so far is great. But with that said I’m not sure I’d recommend Icon products to anyone. First of all the instructions included are junk IMO and that was confirmed by the tech at Icon I spoke with about extra parts in the box that I was unsure of where they go or if they were needed at all. He whispered “these instructions are horrible” to himself which I’m sure he didn’t mean for me to hear but I agreed with him anyway. He was unable to answer my question about the extra parts and asked that I email pics to Icon which I did. It has been several days with no reply..
I’m sure the Icon guy in this thread will respond here but IMO no one should have to go to forums or social media for a response, just shows they are more concerned with damage control than actual customer service.
Meanwhile, I still have a set of unknown spacers on my workbench that I can only assume I don’t need since Icon doesn’t seem to care to respond.

At the same time of install I also installed RSE step sliders and Method race wheels with 37’s. Had a question on the wiring harness for the sliders as I was sent a harness for a 4 door but have a 2 door. This is the only thing left out of their instructions, it is otherwise highly detailed and their customer service was top notch with an immediate answer.

The Method wheels have the wrong centric rings supplied so I sent an email out to them. Within hours they responed asking for my address to send the correct ones via 2 day shipping and then received tracking within minutes.

That is customer service, meanwhile I hope my $4000 suspension system is safe to be driving around on with what may or may not be missing parts..

Post photos.
If semi-circular, they are probably the bump stop spacers for 37" tires. There are instructions for them online or look at earlier posts.
If rectangular, they are probably optional spacers for the swaybar to improve clearance (see 4 posts back).

If you installed the optional swaybar spacer on badlands/sasquatch, those are used on the two forward bolts between the factory skid plate and cross member. They are referred to as washers (1" x 0.505" x 0.375") in the swaybar kit instructions (no photo). The rear bolts go directly into the spacer.

The threadlocker is to be used on all of the non-factory bolts on the swaybar spacer kit.

Thanks for the info! There were no directions in any of the boxes so I went to the product page at Icon.com. The direction links there don’t even list the sway bar spacer for the stage 3 system as being included. The tech at Icon had no clue and no response from Icon via email.. after reading thru this thread its obvious they rushed the product to market just in order to one of the first available and overlooked the finishing details.

Oddly enough the Wildtrak didn’t come with the skidplate so the spacers are not needed in my case.

I should’ve known to look on forums for answers instead of asking the manufacturer, the techs usually are clueless..
