The stereo DOES sound like crap, and I’m over 50. My 2017 Escape had a far superior 10 speaker Sony system.
Im not saying you but that's the problem. Exactly what I was saying. It's easy to pick on issues like "the stereo does sound like crap" and a couple other things to sound authentic and then build a mountain out of a mole hill and run with it like Lite Brite did. Basically attacking the low hanging fruit. You can do that with any vehicle on the planet. Doesn't mean it sucks off road.

I figured they were headed this way when they didn’t really release any over the top mod videos.

Which that is probably the real issue: the radical plug n play mods available for Jeeps are not out there yet for the Bronco. It just hasn’t been around long enough for proven V8 swap kits, 6” lifts, etc.

Those kinds of mods and then showcasing them are their bread and butter.

Some of the Jeep channels have tried a Bronco, but don’t seem to be finding the dream build aftermarket sponsorships they have with the Jeeps. I guess the aftermarket are focused on more Ford centric influencers, or they are too busy price gouging us for parts as fast as they can make them.

That sound stage in a vehicle with a removable roof and doors makes for a awful soundstage and acoustics. Comparing a bronco to any vehicle with out those attributes is an apples to oranges comparison. Ford engineers had to deal with that issues and based on their budget and options did an average to above average job. I came from a crossover as well but knew enough to realize smaller kick panel speakers and no real place to put rear speakers was going to crest some compromises.

Thank you. I just sat in a Bronco with B&O and it confirmed timed everything I had been hearing about how crappy the sound is. Especially for the premium sound option.

I heard you can get the sound bar and when the bronco is updated the sound is great. Glad to hear I might not to buy a sound bar and just flash the bronco myself.
I’m way over 30 and the B&O system is junk. I replaced every speaker and added an amp/sub in the first two weeks. I had the Alpine system in my Gladiator and it was way better- never touched a thing. I love the bronco much better but Ford royally screwed up the sound system.

Good to hear. I have a 2 door on order. Have you had anyone in the back with the AC on?

Losing 4wd because of an abs wheel speed failure is inexcusable. Ford needs to fix that problem post-haste! I have not experienced this myself, but I do believe those who say it happened to them. A transfer case should NEVER shift without driver input. Even if it's an electronic controlled clutch system.

Let’s face it. Most of the people on here complaining have NEVER or at least recently owned a vehicle like the bronco. The fact that the bronco isn’t making a dent in Jeep sales shows they are getting new people to this type of vehicle. Unfortunately most of these new people have unrealistic expectations of what it should be able to do and what level of refinement it should have. Jeep people (looking a you lite bright nation) were never going to give the bronco its due. They said just enough things to keep views but are going to harp on the 1% of things the Jeep does better. Like I told my sister who is a wrangler loyalist, the bronco is better in 99% of situations a majority of people who own them use them. The other 1% of the situations a Jeep might be better in is a fair trade off and even those times the bronco can hold its own. I’d much rather drive the bronco for all the things it does better everyday that a Jeep with a live axle and more articulation especially when 99% of the time you will never see the need for it.

I enjoy their content and watch their channel and knew it wouldn't last very long. They are that extreme 1% of folks who want to take their stuff up crazy lines. That was never going to be a Bronco. I thought maybe they would just make a desert runner out of it, which it would excel in, but that didn't happen. They are not completely wrong about the fit and finish, but I think it they are overblowing it somewhat to justify their decision to themselves. In one of the comments they indicated they may be getting a Bronco Raptor which would be cool, but hopefully they run the desert with it or we will back back to the cup-holder drama.

As for the Subaru reference, this is how I think they stack up in terms of capability and why you would buy each (no idea if these lines will never work!):

Subaru
|----------|

Bronco
|------------------------|

Jeep
.............................................|------|

Dotted line for the Jeep because I would only ever buy a jeep for the extreme end. Never in a million years as a daily/weekend warrior vehicle over the Bronco doing moderate trails.

My kid has been back there all summer but only recently complained on a really hot day. Angling the center vents to blow straight back over the console took care of it.

Look at everyone .. bickering like hell about this.

It has been mentioned before BUT 98% of Jeep and Bronco owners will never use the Wrangler or Bronco to the fullest .. so all this bickering is for 1-2% of something you will never do?

If you think the Bronco has flaws (and it seems many here do) then don't buy one. It is really that simple. Go buy a wrangler or wait 10 years for Toyota to catch up

The jeep forum must love this

This is my problem with that they said: They are comparing a Bronco that they have upgraded some to their Jeep which they have WELL OVER $100k in.

No, the Bronco is not going to beat the Jeep in extreme rock crawling. It's IFS, it's wider, and it doesn't have the aftermarket (yet).

But for dual purpose rig, the Bronco and Jeep very very comparable off-road. What I consider dual purpose is a rig you can still take comfortably on a long road trip (which is not their Jeep, and not anything with 40" or larger tires). MOST off-roaders out there are in dual purpose rigs. Most can't afford an $80-$100K off-road only vehicle (that you can drive on-road short distances).

They said the Bronco picks up where an Outback leaves off, that is complete trash, complete and utter bullshit. A Defender or 4-Runner, yes, but a Bronco is on a completely different level. You can't put 37s on a Defender or 4-Runner without HEAVY, HEAVY mods, THAT is the difference.

Let's also put this into perspective, they make videos to make money (and get sponsors). They bought a Bronco to take advantage of that, and they made money. At this point they've made a business decision to say what they've said about the Bronco, period, that's what it is, and more than likely there was a check involved.

I think telling people to not buy vehicle A or B because they mentioned some flaws is just asinine. Why would you not want flaws or annoyances to be addressed in the next model refresh? Do the diehards only want the vehicle sold to just diehards? Good luck on any vehicle sticking around long if that’s the case. Pointing out flaws in something helps to get it improved down the road and results in a better product down the road. Stop getting so butt hurt over flaws- real or perceived. If not pointing out flaws- MIC 1.0 would still be produced.
