No sales tax in Arizona on a private party sale. The state got their pound of flesh when it sold the first time.
Wow thats awesome….it’s not like that in jersey!!!

Considering the fact its very close to my build I would say do it! Velocity Blue and Roast interior are absolutely stunning. Just rolled 5k on mine and absolutely love it.

Do it!

Velocity Blue is the best color! I went with Race Red only because I already have a F150 in VB.

Life is short. If you can swing the 5K, do it.

When I was looking at ‘21 colors, I was going back and forth between CG & A51. When I got kicked to ‘22, I opted for EG, and I absolutely love it.

However, after seeing VB in

If I needed a Bronco and had the money I would take that deal for $5K over. I wouldn’t plan on selling it for more when your reservation shows up, with the coming recession and interest rate hikes I would expect car sales to slow and people’s wallets to get thinner.

You should negotiate the initial buyer’s registration fees back out of the $5K you are paying him, the state will refund his fees when you buy the truck and you will get to pay them again. Registration in AZ on a $60K truck is over $1K.

You can always change the color with a wrap down the road if you want. I'd say do it.

The boss said I could have any color except VB. Her F-150 is VB and apparently we are NOT allowed to match.

When he buys it, can you buy it and title it together, then remove him after? I'd go for it. VB and Roost is a great combo.

I'd say go for it! $5k really is reasonable and if you change your mind you can always sell it for more $$. I bought an abandoned order, I was lucky, just paid MSRP, great dealer. Not exactly what I ordered but hey, I got a Bronco. It's a 2dr OBX, AMB with Navy Pier interior, I think it would have looked better in Roast. VB and Roast are a great combo.

As the sales manager said to me when I was buying it, "If you don't like sell it and make $10k". He said that with sad eyes since the dealers corporate policy was to sell at MSRP, he had dreams of ADM floating in his mind.

One of these days the Bronco I ordered will come but it's looking like not until at least '23.

I was in a similar situation and was able to get an abandoned order for roughly 3k adm. it was my exact spec (BL, Lux, Sas, Tow, Mic, mod bumper) except cactus gray instead of cyber orange. Cactus was my second choice. At the time I thought I was a fool, but honestly with price increases around the corner and I got a ton for my trade I’m super happy. I say go for it.

That’s a great idea and I was wondering what I might lose out on in this process if I didn’t understand everything with the resale process.

I’m not sure. Honestly I feel like I could just give the dealership a cashier’s check for the full amount in my name and they shouldn’t care whose name is on the check as long as they are getting paid. Then wondering if they can just put the title in my name right there. Similar to how a parent would buy their kid a car I guess. If that doesn’t work, I believe it’s only a few bucks to transfer a title in my state anyway.

If you can work it out with the reservation holder I'd go for it. The tow main questions- will the dealer hold honest to their price and not jack it up with huge ADM when it comes in. And will the reservation holder have to purchase it and sell it to you? I would assume so. I would be concerned that if you inform the dealer you are taking the purchase over from the reservation holder, they may not allow it and want to resell it at huge ADM- to you or anyone else. So I would be very careful.

BTW Velocity Blue is an awesome color. I had a 2 Door Basesquatch at NH Off Roadeo and loved the color. I have a white one and if I lived in any other state other than super hot FL with burning sun I would get VB.

If the vehicle is financed this won’t work. You can’t drop a titled owner while a vehicle is still being paid for. Cash deal, this would be a plan.

If financing is required, maybe he could refinance after in order to remove him.

Also, even though they buy it together, it may only need to be financed by one person.
