Regret getting the roof rails and bimini top. The 110lb dynamic load rating of the roof rails is ridiculous and the bestop bimini is just a poor design.

No regrets. Wouldn't mind 35" tires on my non-SAS BL, but other than that really glad I got: aux switches (5 of 6 now used), tow, mod bumper, soft-top, and did NOT get lux for the B&O audio. Going to do my own thing for a much needed audio upgrade.

But static rating is like 450 lbs, so my guess is the dynamic limit has more to do with stability of the Bronco than strength of the rack. Any rack up top, if rated by Ford's engineers/lawyers would have the same rating.

I got a Badsquatch, high, hardtop, and tow. I didn't want to remove anything just to get my Bronco earlier. There were a lot of folks that dropped things just to get their Bronco earlier but I made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted and I'm happy I didn't compromise.

I wish instead of ordering an OBX I would have ordered a Base w/ Sas, hartop, modular bumper, and aux switches.

Would have been cheaper vs my OBX and way more capable.
That's pretty much my exact build. 2.7l 2-door BaseSquatch, AUX switches, Mod bumper with brush guard, roof rails. $41,605 (price protected). I only regret getting the roof rails and bimini top. Wish I dropped the roof rails and and bimini and optioned the rock rails instead.

I agree. I’m not willing to compromise. I’ll wait until I get what I want.

I just pulled by tow off of my order because I am figuring I can do this in like a year at around the same cost?
Thing is, that's designed for a 4 pin setup, and I see that they never did upload a part 2 explaining their trailer hitch solution.

You can install 4 pin setups all day, although the Ford one requires cutting wires.

A 7 pin is another story altogether and is the one you really want.

Tow pack. I have a trailer with electric brakes coming and doing the hitch install, 4 to 7 pin adaptation, brake controller is so complicated and still will have alarms coming from the system due to BLIS etc

I wish I knew these limits when I placed my order (Mar 21). I just assumed it could handle a rooftop tent so that's on me. Yeah, yeah, it can handle a tent but finding a sub 110lb RTT is tough, expensive, and too small.

After spending 3 months removing the MIC top, I can absolute tell why the dynamic rating is only 110lbs. Its a plastic errrrrr composite roof! No way I'm feeing comfortable with a 160lb Roofnest Falcon on top going down a highway at 55-65mph.

I guess its a good thing. Well, that's what my wife says anyway. Don't have to spend $3500 on a RTT or $27.5k on a Mammoth Overland trailer. I'll just borrow my buddy's smittybilt trailer/RTT. 🤷‍♂️

my only regret is not ordering everything that I wanted. I went with a pretty basic build so that it could get it here ASAP. I was planning on buying upgrades gradually over the next couple years. But now I’m realizing it is way cheaper and easier to include them in your build. If you upgrade later, you are paying for the upgraded part plus the original part that you’re not even going to use. It also ensures that they are all the components from the factory and won’t have to get modified or warranty voided

As an FE, there's not much I could've asked for in terms of options.
That said, I do wish that I had kept the factory winch option, but I got an email saying that the winch would delay my delivery, and after 2 MIC top delays, I was fed up.
Now trying to add a winch that doesn't affect the radar and camera is harder than I expected, but I've survived without it so perhaps it's not too bad.

I ordered Bad Non-Squatch w/ factory upgraded wheels & tires (33“ KO2s), soft, high, bags, rubber mats. Later added the Bimini top and the cargo door Molle system. Dropped tow and the hard top.

I *might* miss the Squatch. 33s look great, 35s perform just better enough in the rocks.

I absolutely DO NOT miss the hard top. In fact, I would have been bummed had I stuck with it. The soft top is awesome, perfect for SoCal, it’s always down.

The door bags are also a must have. If you even take the doors off once, they make the job faster, easier, and able for one person to handle. If you have any intention of taking the doors off, get the bags - very well worth it.

I had my dealer add the towing. Done in a day and with Ford Pass points, was the same price as the factory option. Works great. Don’t miss the sway control chip at all. Really glad I didn’t slow my build down to get it.

Finally, I should have optioned the leather seats. MGV looks good but damn it gets hot, plus it irritates. Leather would stay a little cooler and wouldn’t cause a sweat rash.

Otherwise, if you plan to off-road at all, get a locker, preferably two. And if you want to crawl, the sway bar disconnect is fantastic. My Badlands has tackled everything with ease. Really happy I optioned up.
