I installed the Weathertech front mudflaps today. For $40 dollars they the look fine. Pretty easy install and we’ll see how they hold up. Headed to Tallulah River Campgrounds this week for some trout fishing and may do some SM500 river crossings and roads since I’m right there.

They just kind of wash away on the white and black so all good.

@stormshadow3800 I only had to remove 4 screws because there was nothing in the bottom hole/flap of either fenderwell. I just screwed through the liner. I bet Weathertech test vehicles may have been different as well.

Any mud splatter experts out there? Dexter? Here are my before and after pics:

For both pics, I drove on a dirt road for about a mile after some rain. With the Weathertech mud flaps, there is still a good amount of spray on the doors all the way up to the handles. Am I getting a lot of forward spray from the rear tires?

I’m seriously thinking about finding a trucker mud flap and cutting it / screwing it on like you have. All these hard plastic flaps are coming off the first time your drive over a rock, log, ledge or drainage rut across the trail.
Oh, hey …. :ROFLMAO:

I've had generic $10 Amazon mud flaps literally just screwed in with sheet metal screws into some plastic in the wheel well for over 7000 miles so far. Super surprised how long they've lasted!

Doesn't look like they did much? What's your opinion of them?

I think i previously posted these in the wrong post.

I think they work pretty good.

Judging by the buildup on the flaps, and the minimal amount on the side of the vehicle, i'd say they work really well. Unless you cleaned the side at some point before taking the pictures?

1. In terms of solving the problem, not very satisfied.

2. They were easy to install

3. The provided instructions were so poor they made an easy job challenging. They are a single sheet that appears to have been copied so many times that the illustrations are completely blacked out. I'm very surpirsed to see this from a company that has had a long reputation for quality.

4. I believe they are worth keeping on to, hopefully, minimize rock chips on my doors - which I already got some before getting the mudflaps. We'll see how well it helps with this.

5. I don't know if the problem is mostly the mud flaps or the Sasquatch tires - but if there is a mud flap or running board that does a better job than this I'll switch over. Gotta solve the problem of getting your hands dirty just to open the door.

Nope, untouched. The two guys I rode with had rubicons with no mud flaps. They looked like they sharted in the shower.

Just answer the questions on their website when you put in your vehicle info. WildTrak = No, 35" tires = yes. It will only give you the option for front flaps though. I ordered those first and then went back and answered Yes to the WildTrak question to get the rear flaps to pop up. I think I'll have to screw into the plastic rear bumper to mount those for 2 of the 5 mounting holes. Three are already there for the little winglet flaps on the OBX SAS. Not sure though, they haven't arrived yet.

Front flaps are holding up well and definitely keep a lot of things from hitting the sides of my Bronco. I went off-roading with them recently and as I was coming down off some rocks I completely folded them backwards underneath the tube steps and they snapped back just fine. Can't see any damage.

Come back and pist how those rear flaps work out. Thanks for your response!

I just don’t see what’s different about a WT from an OBX SAS regarding mud flaps. Why won’t the WT ones fit?

I think it’s because WeatherTech is dead set on keeping a ā€œno drillā€ application for their products. I’ll post pics when I get them.
