I just want to be clear…if anyone knows the correct answer please speak up. On the Weathertech order page, if you have SAS and OEM side steps, you select Wildtrak as your model, and they will fit an OBX with SAS?

In other words, if you have any model with SAS and the steps or rails, you select “Yes” for Wildtrak?
Per Weathertech, if you have Sasquatch and OEM Tube Steps and Rock Rails, these were designed for that. I explained that Sasquatch is an optional package on other model trims, too. Maybe they will revise their website.

Thanks @Cat, and thank you also for your input On several other threads, especially the thorough checklist for dealership delivery!

@AZ_BRONC ...awww...you are very welcome. My pleasure!

My Bronco should be here by mid-March...finally got out of purgatory a few days ago. And, I will put the Weathertech mud flaps on. They seem to work!

I would have given them a chance but when I saw the massive gap between where the flap stops and the flare starts... What's the point of putting these on? there will be a ton of junk that gets through that wide open window.

however, I'm curious to see how they look with tube steps. Please post photos when you get them installed
Not sure debris will hit the gap...the centerline *dislodge of the tire is well below the gap b/t fender and mud flap.

Thank you @Cat. I think where they may have went wrong was giving themselves the design requirement to support both the side step and rock rail with the same part.

I’m confident these will function properly with their explanation for the gap, but I am still waiting for a more aesthetically pleasing option for the rock rails.

One interesting thing they mentioned was the quick disconnect flares factoring into the design. I hadn’t thought of the need to preserve that functionality.

I still think an aftermarket company could easily make a nice stack by just copying the $50 ford design and then laser cutting a spot for the rock slides. Seems too easy though…

I too ordered these Flaps without seeing pics. Immediately contacted WT to cancel my order before shipment after seeing the OP’s pics. Attached is my given explanation for cancellation to WT.

Seems to me that a relatively simple piece could be designed, molded or 3D printed and then clipped to the flare itself to fill in the gap. It would remove still attached to the flare when the flares are removed.

Wow. Here I was thinking maybe I jumped the gun a bit doing my own semi-custom flaps as there were no good alternatives and wondering if I should have waited a few more weeks....

But I like mine *far* more than the Weathertech's (and far more than the $400 gatorbacks as well).

I’m seriously thinking about finding a trucker mud flap and cutting it / screwing it on like you have. All these hard plastic flaps are coming off the first time your drive over a rock, log, ledge or drainage rut across the trail.
Oh, hey …. :ROFLMAO:

Sorry! This is one of those products where the engineers were over thinking it and ended up with a product that might check the boxes the engineers thought were most important, but ultimately the vast majority of buyers will not buy.

Form and Function are always important factors, but for the vast majority of us aesthetics, are just as important and sometimes more so. As someone with engineering background this is a complete failure all the way around. Most of us will not remove our fender flares on a consistent basis if ever, so adding an extra attachment point that makes that more difficult will not affect most of the buyers. Yes, they will sell some, but nowhere near the number had they considered the actual "look" of the flaps to begin with. I had high hopes for WT, but I guess I will be looking elsewhere as it appears they are dead set to continue down this path with this product.
Pretty simple fix. Offer two designs. One for the folks putting on 37s, and one for the other 99%

Why would the high-school engineering team consider the relationship of the flap and removing the flare?? People are gone remove the flare and still worry about rock fling?? Seriously...
Make it so they're easily removable. Period....
I am SERIOUSLY considering buying a God damn 3d pointer and filing a patent. 🤷

When you go to order, they ask if you have Wildtrak then ask if you have the 315 width tires (which is Sasquatch; see picture). Someone previously said that they called to confirm that they will fit a Squatched Badlands with the rock rails (and the WeatherTech site says that they fit rock rails and side steps; people in this thread posted pics of both). I’d say you’re say to say “no” to Wildtrak and “yes” to 315’s for your Squatched OBX

No worries. Definitely not for everyone, but I think they're good enough for me for a temp solution at any rate... as long as they do what they were intended to do. I really believe they're less obnoxious in person though.

At least I didn't have to drill anything, so replacing should be a quick job if something better comes along.
I need a temporary solution as well, providing my Wildtrak gets here while we're still dealing with slush and salt on the roads. I may pull the trigger on these so I have something for protection. I'm not crazy about the looks either, but for $80 it beats rock chips and slush blocking the rear door.
