No. If you read my post they both ran Hakka r2. 265/70r17
That's worth noting - I was going to point out that the M/T tires that came on the Rubicon (as I understand) are pretty crappy in the snow, whereas a lot AT tires do OK. But if you eliminated that variable, that helps make a more direct comparison.

@Jack D Who makes an LSD for non-Rubi Jeep JL front differential ???
Whoever does would be the ones to ask when they’ll have an LSD for the AdvanTek.

Rubi-lockers snd TracLoc which my understanding is Brake Traction like the Bronco has

Sahara-no lockers and Trac lock/Selec Trac which I understand to be brake traction and a true LSD

both on Hakka r2 265/70r17

TracLoc has long been Dana's trade name for their clutch-type LSD. If the Jeep had a TracLoc, that's what it would be. They would also have brake traction control, as literally just about every car made today has that. At one point, the Rubicon had a lockable LSD in the rear, though I don't know if that's still true.

Torq makes a d30 front ratcheting locker. It’s been out for about 2 or 3 years now

Agreed. Brake actuated is plenty for snow. When it gets bad, lock her up. Absolutely best of both worlds.
It actually works quite well too. I didn't get many snow days but I left it in 2wd for most and it got around fine. 4A is really fun in snow though if you want to drive spiritedly.

Is that for the actual Dana 30, or for the Advantec M186/190 that is often called a Dana 30? Ratcheting lockers are kind of horrible for street use.

Ok. Makes sense so

Rubi-lockers and brake traction

Sahara-no lockers and brake traction and LSD

this is my understanding of the stock vehicle systems. (LSD Optioned on Sahara but not avail on Rubi)

Don’t get all Jeep mad at me I’m getting a Bronco and trying to figure out what I will heed to add.

I don't see why the 4A system in Bronco combined with slippery GOAT mode is not a viable answer for this question? Like in the Bronco, a good 4 auto system with good tires should get you thru just about any on road driving condition you would come across confidently.

Good question
I ask because just like with the rears, people are conflating the names of these axle models. Jeep still says Dana 30, 44, etc. But these new axles are not interchangeable with the earlier ones. The M190 / Dana 30 are a lot more similar to each other than the 44 /M220 though. But still have different splines, bearings and ring gear bolts. And welded ring gears on the Ford M190.

I think it is a good answer. Just not the best answer. But for a lot of people, its all you need.

Because he specifically asked about LSDs.
