So I’ve been searching the web a little for the “flat eq.” setting for line 727-01-02. They all show the position to change is:

727-01-02 x*xx (* = 0 for flat eq)

The xx** positions are for ANC mixing settings. Maybe why you lose occupancy mode.

Somebody want to test it out? So change from “0901” to “0001”.

Just speculating here. I don’t have forscan yet.
🤷🏼‍♂️

Does 3801 give you the full range to the rear but leave chimes at an acceptable level?

I'm thinking the sound bar flash is the way to go. FORscan method seems like give/take kind of thing.
Yup...

Updating you guys, as my buddy finished my audio install last night.

The Forscan update to give full range to the rear speakers, does in fact, give full range. Also increases volume quite a bit (went from listening on 17~ down to like 12~ after the change).

He brought the oscilator over to verify signal to the rear speakers before pulling the signal for my amp from them and they're definitely giving a full range.
Which update? The 00 flat eq or the 3801?

Just have it flashed by the dealer like you were installing the JBL sound bar. It has already been proven to work. I would guess $75-100 to flash?
I was quoted 75.

They are both flat... 00 seems to increase the chime and sensor volume thru the head unit, whereas 01 does not. Disabling the chimes from going thru the APM makes its sound cheap and weak doesn't give you directional audio (cross traffic, F/R park sensors, etc)

As concisely as possible:

Replace your rear pod speakers with those of your choice
Connect a wired or bluetooth module to your Bronco, and turn your Bronco on (don't start the engine)
Open ForScan, save a profile if you need to, it will inventory all your modules
Choose the ACM module for configuration editing
Take a backup of the ACM module, because you should
On line 727-01-01 change 382B to read 3800
Hit the write button closest to your mouse, it should be on line 727-01-04
Turn Bronco off, remove module from OBD port, turn Bronco back on

That's it.
Just to note for the community - I did this and noticed no difference.

Actually I did the second line changing from 0901 to 0900 disabling occupancy mode. 727-01-02 from 0901 to 0900. Rear sound much louder. Got some JL 4” speakers I will be installing this weekend. I think there is debate on which line to change. I went with JediMcMuffins approach. Anyone think it’s better to adjust line 1 only?

By the way I have a 2 DR Black Diamond SAS with 6 Speaker standard system 8" screen.
For community to note - I did the 0900 - and it completely dropped all bass from the system. Reverted back and it returned. It sounds "balanced" but hollow in my Badlands (no B/O Stereo)

That’s weird. I hear plenty of bass with 300hz bass blockers on all 4” speakers and frankly the stereo has never sounded better once I put the 4” JLs in. I had a four door and put Infinity reference speakers in without the Forscan change and I thought they sounded worse than stock. Maybe I will set it back to 0901 in my 2 door and compare. Do we have a consensus on what the appropriate forscan change should be for the base 6 speaker system if the 0900 change is killing the bass? In the end I will go by my own ear and preference but I do respect the opinions of others on this forum.

I did the Forscan 'line 727-01-01 change 382B to read 3800' along with install of Infinity Reference 4" speakers in the front and rear (with 300 HZ base blockers in the front) this weekend, and I can say with certainty that the Forscan change made a positive difference, especially at lower volume settings.

I made a video of the whole thing, including recording audio output before and after for comparison purposes. I will be editing this week and hopefully posting on Friday.

I went in and played around with the Forscan ACM settings for the speakers after installing 4" JL Audio's and I'm not sure any of the changes are that significant. If I change 727-01-02 everything gets louder but I now agree that they sound a little hollow and you also end up with all your Chimes doubling in sound which is annoying. I set 727-01-01 to 3800 from factory setting and I really did not hear a dramatic difference over stock with my new speakers installed. I decided to leave it at 3800 only because I trust everyone else on this forum and it seems the consensus is that is the best sound for the stock system.

I'm guessing we all need the JBL mod, not forscan to really help.
