Quick update, those rear speakers do sounds noticeably better now. I did replace them with some new 4" fosgates, and the balance of sounds just seems a bit more rich.

I tried the soundbar update in FDRS today on my B&O system. No update available like the instructions say for base sound system. While I was in there I installed a instrument panel update. 3.5 hours later it was finished and I think I’m retired from FDRS for awhile. No wonder the techs complain about this system.

The only thing I noticed so far was two extra options to add to myview. 7 “gauges” or display options instead of 5. I only noticed because I had to reselect them after it finished and I wasn’t sure why it kept going after 5. I might notice more when I drive tomorrow but definitely not worth the time for just that.
How bad can you mess up in forscan if you don't know anything about it?

Ah that's a bummer there is no upgrade option for B&O using Forscan. I have both and was ready to try Forscan to open up my new 4" speakers I put in the rear pods. Maybe someone will discover this soon for B&O...

Note this was NOT forscan. I tried to do the JBL soundbar flash using the dealer software. I have not tried the forscan programming.

I think it's still in discussion, as far as I can tell. I've been following this with interest too, as I want to do whatever the best cheap mod to wake up the sound system is, whenever those who know way more about these things than I do reach a consensus on the best way to go about that. But I just don't think they're there yet. If they are, or when they do reach it, hopefully someone will do a definitive write-up on it as a service to the community

Why is there any difference with concern to factory or aftermarket speakers? There isn't....
The 3801/3800 ForScan mod improves both... Front and rear (likely just rear)
Anyone notice when you use Forscan to open up the rear speakers that the on board warning chimes like tripled in volume as well? I know I can disable them with Forscan, but anyone know of a way to turn those down using Forscan. If not I will just eliminate them. I like having the seatbelt chimes in case the kids take my Bronco for a ride. ;o)
