I am not a fan of those flares either but to me it looks 100% better when those giant flares are painted to match the body. Looks more Raptor like to me too. I dont know why Ford couldn't have done this for the launch.

It's slightly better but I still say the only correct action was to split the difference with bulged fenders like the F150. It looks like they bulged them slightly but not enough.

The good news is those flares overhang the tire a bit and are ripe for aftermarket flares that aren't so wide.

Yeah, would look way better. Apparently it was too wide to paint. Go to 19:11
I'm calling bullshit on that. If Ford can paint a dually, they can paint this. Besides, they can paint parts before they're installed.

Probably need the mud flaps and replaceable plastic rock guard panel on the rear flares to stay black, but otherwise I completely agree.

I think that was silly of Ford to say. Aren't flares removable. They could be painted off the vehicle then assemble to the vehicle (like mirror caps and handles)

Completely agree. There is no way they would be painted assembled even if it fit the paint booth.

Paint looks better, but those still look worse than a aftermarket afterthought.

Ford needed to make the fenders stick out like the shoulders on a bulldog, not like the chin on a bullfrog.
