Disable "Keep Your Hands on the Steering Wheel" warning alert?

I haven't had that issue come up and I leave lane keeping assist on. When I took both hands off, it does warn it. It just required very little steering input so the computer can sense a user is still there.
You must have some very straight roads. In this part of California, we have to dodge pot holes all day, LKA keeps forcing me back in.

Why dodge those potholes with that independent front suspension?

There's an option under the vehicle menu and driver assistance to turn off. I forget but it says something like "alert when the driver isn't paying attention. I've had this on and drive with one hand and have never seen the alert. Maybe there's some other issue?

On our 2020 Explorer I have to keep downward "pressure" on the right side of the steering wheel (I like hugging the right shoulder) and I find this helps with the notification. I must be programed to drive very similar to the computer program because if I drive normal it will give me the warning constantly. On the Explorer there also is a button on the end of the turn signal stem that gives you two adjustments to set your preference (narrow/wide I assume). I choose the "wide setting as the narrow drives me crazy. My Bronco won't be here until MY23 so I hope this system is "tweaked" by then.

I sort of like the lane keep assist especially on long drives, I just hate the notification where it alerts me to put my hands on the steering wheel when it clearly already is. It not only forces you to move the wheel left or right to remove it but lowers your radio volume too until you complete the task.

There are just too many lawyers in this country with nothing to do, but come up with crazy stuff like this.

Personally I don't like the lane keeping stuff. I have it turned off on both of my vehicles. It's too sensitive on my Ford and Jeep, and more aggravating than useful.

Ok, full disclosure I received my Bronco a few weeks ago and have already put 2,000 miles on the truck. I really do feel the truck is great really no short comings other than a few quirks I have found. One of which is the god forsaken "Keep Your Hands on the Steering Wheel" notification I get every 5 seconds. Ford did such a great job with the steering. The truck drives so strait, I have one hand on the steering wheel, and it still alerts me. It sometimes can be "unsafe" because I have to move the wheel left or right on the street or highway to get the alert to come off.

Anyone find a solution for this yet or how to disable this?

I think the alert that's refering to is the "stick shake"...the steering wheel vibration when you start straying

I can confirm disabling driver alert does not disable the "Keep your hand on the steering wheel" notification. I've had this disabled for more than a week now. I thought that may fix it as well but didn't.

Yeah I would bring it in for service then. I've been driving mine for about 3 months now and have never seen that alert.

The AsBuilt for previous generation IPMAs (the kind built into the rearview mirror) had various sensitivity options not selectable through the IPC, though I haven't determined yet whether a sensitivity level of 1 or 3 is 'more sensitive'. If anybody on the F150 forums decoded newer IPMAs, might find something interesting.

I wish I could have a long conversation with engineers about how these things work. When you calibrate, what exactly is it looking for compared to normal driving? The AsBuilt specifies what headlights and payload your vehicle has -- how does the lanekeeping camera use this information? Why is there a bit in the Power Steering for whether or not a reverse camera is installed?

Natural reaction at this point. Got flung onto the dash board while going down in a garbage truck getting a pot hole that taught me a lesson, lol. Also cause some good damage on my Discovery Sport when I thought it was just a pool of water on the road. Nope!
