Did you install an engine start stop eliminator near the driver's footwell?
The window module is around that area, try making sure all connectors are solid.

Ok, now this is interesting. When I had the dealer install my tow hitch it came back with a clump of wires hanging out from under the driver's footwell. I bet you're on to something. Will investigate and post an update!!

Alyeska, AK. Used to live in Anchorage still maintain an off the grid cabin around those parts :)
Thanks!
I picked up a Chesapeake in Anchorage and named her Alyeska. Called her Ally. I miss her.
I used to work at Chilkoot Charlie’s back in the 80s 😀

I bet Koot's was wild in the 80's. Still had the sawdust floors in the 2000's.

You should ask to see who worked on your car and if they're certified... in anything or they're just the "alarm guy" on the lot who installs/uninstalls, usually crappy, alarms really fast for relatively cheap.

Could be battery going bad if you aren’t seeing any other causes. Does your Auto Start/Stop work?

Check to see if your bronco needs any software updates. Mine was having similar window ghost activity. I got pissed when it auto rolled down one day while I was parked. There was heavy rain and the damn thing wouldn't let me roll the windows up. I'd do the inch-by-inch thing and once I finally got the window all the way up, it would roll back down super fast.

I finally got it (the window) up then shut the bronco off before it could auto roll back down on me. A couple days later there was a software update. Some sensor that detects if your window gets rolled up on a baby or something was overly sensitive. So, pressure from the rain storm in the bronco's brain = baby's arm. That makes the window drop all the way down.

The software update adjusted the sensitivity of that sensor.

Outside of a factory software update (should work over-the-air on your bronco), I'm not sure if there is a forscan way to disable it from doing that. DDM & PDM modules.

From "Google":
Try resetting the window's auto-up/down function.

  • With the vehicle running and all doors closed, lower the window fully and hold the switch down for 5 seconds after it's down.

  • Then, raise the window fully and hold the switch up for 5 seconds after it's fully closed.

  • Repeat this process for each window.

The google reset works. I have used that. Fortunately, the over the air update seemed to fix this issue completely and I haven't had it for over a year.
