A lot of good thoughts posted here....Since I am who i iz...I wanted to share my crazy bronco breaking plan to remove my 4dr BL front seat's floor carpet only, and also removing/storing the back leather seat-bench on my BL. So then allowing to build a hidden/secure platform for storage behind the front seats and creating a flat interior bed above for storage all the way back to my tailgate table. Now and then the rear seats will go back in...but not very often.

The OBX is a lightweight Bronco, which is a plus for Desert running... A SBD can be installed, if desired, it just won't be as slick as the BL. So if you aren't going to hitting some serious rocks, the OBX is an interesting option.

I bet a lot of WT reservations/orders were placed because of it being marketed as a desert runner without there being, as you mentioned, an advantage between that and any other Sasquatch trim.

Absolutely. There are even people who think it has a wider track and/or body than any other trim with Sasquatch.

Do we know for sure Sport mode is 2wd? On the new F150 Sport mode defaults to 4 high. If that is the case with the Bronco then what is the difference between Baja and Sport?

We may have the default t-case mode for each goat mode, but I don't have that handy.
We do know which t-case modes are selectable in each goat mode.
For Sport; 2H, 4A, 4H. For Baja; 2H, 4H, 4L
We also know steering has 3 modes; sport, normal and comfort. Almost 100% we know shift points and throttle curve are effected. Also probably traction / stability control threshold intervention. Maybe even ABS threshold intervention.
Any more than above are guesses based on F150 Raptor drive modes and comments from the Ford drivers during the ride-alongs.

Because buying a used set of BL's 35" rims, tires, and suspension won't be easy pickings as they upgrade to 37's right away. Ok, go with that fantasy.

I think your exactly right. The WT was a marketing tool and it worked rather well. Take a fairly loaded OBX, add decals/blackout paint, set it as a top trim........people buy it and think it really is the best and mechanically its no different than a Sas Base.

I don't think anyone hates the WT at all. If it wasn't for the interior I might have gone with it, the blackout stuff is cool. BUT all these non sense threads of WT vs. BL is just odd to me unless you are brand new to the Bronco. BL vs BD makes sense. Then a comparison with BB vs OBX vs WT make sense. Looking at them straight stock if you are legitimate serious about rock crawling/overlanding BL is your rig. If you love the WT and plan on adding all the goodies to it for rock crawling/overlanding then that is something different and all Sas Broncos can do that, pick what you like and have at.

I am not 100% sure of that, but I don't doubt you either, when I made the decision to not go with the Sasquatch package, the OBX became the better deal for me. That I do remember.

As I posted earlier, I run a lot of highway miles, so I really wanted a true dual role vehicle. That meant that either a 32 inch highway tire or a 33 inch off-road tire with a 4.27:1 ratio was going to work out well.

Sure, you could go with even bigger tires, but the point is to get the best response.

Obx doesn't get baja mode where WT does. I have a 4dr wt ordered. Why would I pay within 400$ for an obx that is optioned as the WT? I'm being serious.

As with the OP, a lot of my area is desert-like, but also have some more varied terrain as well, but the bottom line is that it is usually very hot... and for me, that means I don't want vinyl. I also tend to put a lot of road miles on a vehicle, so I wanted wheels and tires for the road and a set of off-road tires for those times that I am really getting off the beaten path.

So I ended up going with the full mall crawl specification (see below). For me, the colors were right, the materials were right, and the features were right - although I did want Baja mode for the screens. Although some would suggest that the WT is the mall crawler, really, the OBX, without the SAS and without the advanced 4x4 is the ultimate mall crawler trim (which is nearly what I got).

One person above me made a great point that the 4 door is better for high speed running in the desert. I still went with the 2 door for the better break-over angle and slightly more nimble shorter wheel base; but the 4 door would be best for the high speed off-road stuff.

The 2 door still has a decent wheel base. I'm actually someone who appreciates a very short wheelbase as I grew up with a CJ-5 and got comfortable wheeling a compact vehicle -BUT the 2 door Bronco is still quite a bit longer than a 2 door JK wheelbase and is much closer to the "coveted" LJ wheelbase, which many have said is the best wheelbase ever on a Jeep. I think it will perform the "long wheelbase" obstacles better than a lot of people think, and still be more spry around the trails. I've been watching a lot of Bronco ride along videos, like probably most people on here, and I've noticed drivers talking about how fun the two door is to drive. I definitely plan on doing the "high speed off-road stuff" on mine when (which will be a 2 door Badlands Squatch). I expect it will perform quite well at that. There is more to going fast in the desert... in a straight line.

Are you sure it isn't 4A? 2021 F-150 Sport mode is supposed to default to 4A for torque-on-demand transfer case or 2H for basic ESOF transfer case. Both allow 4H in Sport mode for offroad-only use, but should not be the default.

You are correct, I looked again. It switches on 4A, and it actually stays on when you switch to another mode
