Going WT here and adding the armor. I flirt with the SBD of the BL all the time, and if that was the only difference I'd switch to BL in a heartbeat. What it comes down to for me is sport mode, cloth seats (I HATE leather and vinyl in the heat), and black>gray bumper with cyber orange.

So to me, why pay an extra ~$3000 for a sway bar and take 3 big hits? Im sure aftermarket will come out with a disco. Now of I end up a MY22 and go green instead of CO the BL is back in play if I throw on seat covers and get over sport mode.

Because buying a used set of BL's 35" rims, tires, and suspension won't be easy pickings as they upgrade to 37's right away. Ok, go with that fantasy.
Yeah he said if you ARENT hitting serious rocks
My mistake, your correct, I misread it.

If you know Mojave you know what washboard roads are, you want the Badlands factory SBD. You can add running boards all day long to the Badlands but not the factory SBD to the Wildtrak.

Why do you need sbd for washboard roads? Are you just mentioning sbd, but not in conjunction with the roads?

I drive them every day in my F150. It's so dry we have red flag conditions right now and it is a bumpy ride on a FL dirt road right now. That road looks pretty sweet compared to what I'm about to drive on a few minutes!

Also, where did you find out about the running boards for Badlands? I have asked and it wasn't an available option.

Washboard road at 5mph - better with SBD. Over 15? mph? irrelevant, it will connect before fun speed. SBD can be had aftermarket just like slider steps can be put on BL.

Manual quick disconnect kits for the sway bar may become available....an automatic system never will....so it’s a bit of a stretch to say “SBD” can be had aftermarket; it can’t. It won’t be. You can crawl under and manually disconnect it and try to strap it out of the way, or remove it. A quick disconnect kit would make that a little easier, if someone makes one. They are not common for IFS.

Running boards will be available everywhere and bolt on in minutes (if you are so inclined to screw up the looks of the BL and put on something that gets caught up on stuff)

When you drive with an SBD disconnected over rough, uneven or washboard roads it allows for a more compliant comfortable ride, of course this means you do have to limit your speed to 20mph.

Regarding Running Boards, the standard OBX / Ford Parts Running Boards will fit any Bronco. Likewise, many aftermarket companies are working on them, to fit any model.

We may have the default t-case mode for each goat mode, but I don't have that handy.
We do know which t-case modes are selectable in each goat mode.
For Sport; 2H, 4A, 4H. For Baja; 2H, 4H, 4L
We also know steering has 3 modes; sport, normal and comfort. Almost 100% we know shift points and throttle curve are effected. Also probably traction / stability control threshold intervention. Maybe even ABS threshold intervention.
Any more than above are guesses based on F150 Raptor drive modes and comments from the Ford drivers during the ride-alongs.

Full chart below of available t-case modes by goat mode.

This is a nice chart.
Baja does list 2wd 4wd and 4low.
Sport mode is only showing 2 and 4 high.

I wonder if there was a reason ford does not pair the front locker with the standard transfer case? It could be just that advanced 4x4 has a lower low range and anyone who would want A front locker would want the lower transfer case gear.

It'll soften the ride. A lot of people here seem to think SBD is just for rock crawling but it's useful for any uneven terrain (up to 20 mph, of course).
Yeah, no on the 20 mph. Vroom Vroom.
