I've tried 87 and 91 several times over the past year. My bronco definitely has more get up and go, runs better. And gets better mpgs when running 91 octane. I will be using it when it's available.

Where are the choices of 85 Octane, 93 octane, and E30?

I have run everything from 85 to E30 (70% 93 Octane and 30% E85). E30 gives the best performance, 93 octane is decent, 90 Octane ethanol free seems to give the best mileage, it's like uncut cocaine for your Bronco.

E30 will decrease mileage about 20-30%, Ethanol Free seems to help between 5-10% on mileage.
Anything over E15 violates the vehicle instructions and warnings under the cap. Use it at your own discretion or peril.

And have to echo where is option for 93 or even 94 (still available from Sunoco east of Old Man River). Only time my Bucky feeds on less than 93 is when we travel west. Regular grade around Denver is a mere 84 octane.

zOMG, are you serious...

Are you suggesting that my motor is likely to blow up any moment now!?!

Yes, I can read the brochure.

Well, jet fuel is much closer to diesel than gasoline. So might be fair to tell your passengers they won’t have to “hang on” for long.

We have 93 here. I've put 93 in it since the first test drive. I test drove it on two separate weekends before I bought it.

Yes I filled it up after a test drive. My dad said that if you borrow somebody's car you always give it back full of gas.

We have mid grade gas here (89 octane) and I used to use that in my Bronco. I’ve been using 87 most of the time lately though.

I’ve used 91 nonoxy for all but 3 fill ups in the last year. Those 3 times were 93.

I put in 92 a few times, then found a station around here that sells 93 for 20 cents more a gallon than 87, so I'm doing that. but let's say that 93 is 70 cents more a gallon than 87, and I go through 10 gallons a week. That's $7 a week, times 52 weeks, so $364 a year. On a $60K vehicle, $364 a year is nothing ;)

The Bronco runs fine on 85 Octane in Colorado.

Even at 14,150 feet ASL.

I've always run 85 in every vehicle I've owned. Now I'm convinced the darnn thing will blow up with less than 87
. This Bronco, and maybe this forum, are making me nuts!!
