Wheel Lug Bolt Lengths (Base vs OBX)

I have a base 2-door with of course the 30" tires, and the steel rims. I just bought some 32" OBX tires and rims and was going to install them.

The question I have is "Are the lug-bolts the same length on a Base as on an OBX Bronco, or at least adequate in length to safely work on my 2-door Base Bronco?"

Looking at the two wheel-sets, I'd say the OBX wheels are about 1/4 of an inch thicker at the bolt holes, but the Base lug-bolts seem like they'd be long enough to accommodate the OBX wheels.

I swapped my BB tires wheels and installed OBX Wheels with bigger tires and used the factory lug nuts .
I know its not a Base but I think they are all the same bolt length

That's funny! I also thought the BB wheels looked better than OBX wheels, but I got a good deal on the OBX.

In regard to wheels themselves... I assume BB wheels were alloy wheels anyway, so I'm not sure they'd be as thin as the steel wheels.

Stud size, including length, should be the same. Key is proper thread engagement, which is a minimum of seven(7) full turns of the lug nut.

I don't know for certain, but I'm throwing this out there, but i didnt think all lug nuts would fit all wheels. And that's why mcgard says theirs wont work on steel wheels(i think they bottom out before getting snug).
And i would assume you could put nuts from steel wheels onto alum wheels, but not the other way around.
I never had to worry about it, but i think i read something about this. Feel free to critique or research.

Or maybe the nuts are all the same length, and the lugs are all the same, but the lug length available is different depending on wheel type you put on. Logically, this is more sound.

Maybe the ford nuts fit all lug lengths and the mcgards only alum wheel lug lengths. I dont know. I didn't swap wheels, but i did install mcgard nuts.

I’m having a similar problem. Just recently received my wife’s raptor and it had the ford anti theft wheel locks package in the back of the vehicl, 4 had been installed on the vehicle and 1 was still in the packagin. It was for the spare. I thought, that’s funny, why didn’t they just install it on the spare?
No problem I just removed one of the spare’s lug nuts and proceeded to tighten it back down but it stopped short leaving a 1/4 inch gap between the rim and lock. I have bead lock wheels.
I am taking it into the service department so they can look at it.

I used the lug nuts (chrome) from my steelies and now use them on my OBX wheels/tires I bought. Everything seems to work fine, and I like the look.

Now I just got to figure out if the wheels in fact have TPMS in them. I'm starting to think they don't since the Bronco still registers the pressure from the old tires.

How much air-pressure should I have to remove from a tire in order for it to relearn that tire... or at least try to?

And if there aren't TPMS in them...
Anybody got a good recommendation for TPMS sensors that don't need programming. I see most Schrader sensors require programming, although I see one model that doesn't. Anybody try the Schrader (or anything else) TPMS sensors that don't need programming?
