Spotted this 2025 Badlands and noticed what appears to be some sort of bug protection on the front of the hood near the hood latch. Is this OEM?

Mine came in black. Perhaps the owner had it painted to match which is actually pretty sharp looking.

Thats a painted sheild to match the Bronco.
I did the same thing and then had the shield PPF'd.

I love this! And I'm wondering why I didn't do the same thing. I'm preparing to paint match multiple other items, but just slapped this protector on in reaction to my first windshield chip. I guess I can convince myself that leaving it black will help break up all the paint and provide some contrast...

Yeah that Husky Liners hood protector looks way better painted to match than the black - might have to steal that idea for my Bronco!

I like the contrasting look too. But that colour matched protector looks good as well.

Picked mine up at the accessories counter one week after taking delivery and had mine painted in Oxford white at a nearby paint shop. They did a beautiful job.

This doesn’t look OEM. I don’t see the lip to deflect the bugs and debris unless the paint is that good. lol.
