I can’t be the only one this has happened to. When my car is parked unlocked in my garage or my driveway and I open the driver’s side door, I get a weird scratchy chime twice (coming from the engine compartment). Not a healthy sound. Video/audio attached. I couldn’t replicate it at the dealer and so I’m guessing it may have to do something with the bronco internet connectivity to my house Wi-Fi. I would love to hear if you’ve had this and resolved it. Thanks.

It’s normal. I don’t know what it is exactly but I highly doubt it has anything to do with WIFI

I would be shocked (maybe not 100% shocked) if that’s normal. It’s like the sound of technology dying. Yeah, the Wi-Fi connectivity thing is a stretch, it just doesn’t make sense that it happens every single time in my garage, but not outside of it.

Found another thread where Ford chimed in (pun intended) back when they monitored this forum. They said it’s not normal. So the search continues

Hard to hear exactly, but it sounds the same as what mine has been doing since day one. Opening the door signals the Bronco is probably about to be started, so I assume it's fuel pump priming?

Normal for mine too…….been doing it since I bought it. I always assumed it was some kind of fuel prime or coolant system. Pretty sure it’s not associated with connectivity.

I have found that I hit my knee on the light switch, turning them on when I get in. As soon as I start it, it returns to Auto. Took me a while to figure out what was happening

It's completely normal. It's the electronic throttle. If you turn the ignition on, but don't start the engine, you can duplicate the sound by pressing the gas pedal.
Thanks! I will check that.

My Bronco has been doing exactly that from the day I first drove it home. It does sound like a dying transducer. I haven't noticed that it was coming from under the hood - will investigate.

I can confirm that i8iridium is right: it's related to the throttle. I can duplicate the process as described.

Sounds like one of the many relays under the hood triggered by the door handle pull. My '23 BB Sas makes them as well. Really creepy when you go in a dark garage at midnight and your Bornco "talks" to you because of the proximity sensors.
