This is generically how it has worked with the Super Dutys.
This is just an outsiders understanding of the process. I could be wildly wrong.
Lemme know and I'll delete this drivel.
8 million different things will dictate when your Bronco will get built. At some point , when they actually do schedule it to be built, it will be assigned a VIN and an approximate build start date.
After the VIN is assigned, that exact rig is getting built. NO changes. Cancel the order? Nope, it'll get built and go into dealer stock.
Now, depending on those 8 million THINGS, will yours be built in May or November?
I'd be surprised if November builds would get a VIN in April....more like Oct.
This just made me realize, if deliveries are possibly in June....some folks MAY actually get their VIN and production date in MAY!
Damn, I'd love to get that email in May !!!!!!!!!!!!
Curious when we get the VIN as well. If in May (when we get our build est) that would be great. I was thinking about having my early reservation number on my plate. Like 10123XX (with the zero as an O, that way i meet the three letter requirement). But realize if I do that it seems like it could be interpreted as the 12th thousand produced, when I'll probably be around 4,000 (off my rough estimates), I might as well put the sequential production number off my vin. Like 00043XX. Although anything over 1,000 seems like whats the point. Maybe 101-RES, or 1012RES OR 1012XX
