Hey All,

I was wondering if anybody has tried designing/3D printing a mount/bracket for the Valentine One Gen1 for the Bronco dashboard? I've got a start to a design but it's very simple right now. My CAD experience is a little limited to say the least (my only real experience is making small parts or a pipe that can smoke a whole pack of ciggies at a time). Hoping somebody already has a design that I would be able to print, otherwise I'm going to have to iteratively design this until it works.

Pics below are what I have so far:
Ford Bronco Valentine One Gen1 Bronco Mount? 1710796892565-m

Ford Bronco Valentine One Gen1 Bronco Mount? 1710796921960-ex

- Base is 82.4 x 35.0 x 3.0 mm.
- Sides are 22.0 x 35.0 x 2 mm from top of base.
- Clips are 3.0 x 1.0 x 35.0 mm with a 2.0mm from top and 19.0 mm from bottom of clip to top of base.

Thanks for any help you can give!!

If you're looking to design/print one, I would recommend adding some chamfers/fillets on the inner corners for some strength and possibly utilizing this circled piece below to keep it from sliding forward/backwards once it's snapped in place. Maybe also add some felt/padding to help keep it snug.

If you're open to buy one, I bought this to use with my Uniden and paired it with the USB cable from StickerFab. It fits on the dash perfectly and looks great.

I use the visor mount

the higher the better…. And centered

I’m a former traffic officer

I feel like that might be too high in mine, where I have it I'm pretty much at top of window level of dodge charger police car and I know you'll say it's not possible, but also fighting chance at laser since they're trying to bounce off a license plate.

The radar is a cone and it bounces
Both running radar and detectors higher worked better for the detector

it’s not a left right cone
It’s a circle ka band being the more narrow.
Heck I used to sit in parking lots with motion doors to mask the signal 🤷‍♀️

If that warns of a laser anywhere near your plate, the ticket is already half filled out. You just don’t know it yet.

What you’re hoping for is detecting a stray beam from somebody up ahead. For that, higher is better. Lower has more odds of being in the “shadow” of cars ahead of you.

Food for thought

True, I get all that, ,my plate is also angled down which should also minimize reflection back.
