Using LockNLube air chuck with ARB Digital Inflator

Hello:
I am looking for some advice on what I am doing wrong. As some folks have experienced the air chuck that comes with the ARB inflator just does not seem to work; I seem to have to keep fiddling with it and hold it as I am inflating my tire to ensure air is not leaking; never seem to get a tight seal. Many have recommended the LockNLube air chuck. I initially mistakenly got the closed flow kind and then ordered the open flow one but even that does not seem to work. It does not thread all the way into the ARB inflator as seen in the pic. Do I need to first wrap the male end with some tape? Am I using the correct chuck? Is it even worth it or should I just return it. LOL!!

You should use teflon tape on the threads, esp if you are leaking air... Or is there just no air flow at all?

Sorry for the late response but there is air flow...just leaking at the joint because the fit is not snug I guess. But it is the same issue whether I used a closed or open valve.

Teflon tape is a requirement. (Or some other thread sealant.)

Yes tape, but the thread pitch may be off too. Metric vs NPT.
