Can I use my old Procal module that the tune is VIN locked on my 2021 to change the tire size only on my 2025?

Subsequently, can I use the Procal module to view gauges, change gearing, etc? Is it just the tune that is lock or is the module itself a paperweight now?

I couldn’t find the answer to this online. I guess I can call Ford Performance?

Plug the damn thing in and find out.
Haha! I would, but it’s at the shop getting the tires mounted. Just planning ahead.

I’ve made some Forscan changes - but, I think I read that the tire change sequence isn’t working yet for 2025.

My ProCal is from the first year or so. I never updated it either because I didn’t want to lose Rev Match/ASS.

Maybe it does have something to do with the VIN lock then. I just assumed it didn’t, because a procal by itself without a calibration can do tire size recalibrations. But apparently once a procal has been used with a calibration, it VIN locks all the features.

@redone17 you should be able to easily contact Ford performance and they can send you and unlock code. From what I remember they normally don’t charge for this if you purchased it for a previous vehicle.

As someone mentioned, Forscan can make this as well. Given what else you can do with Forscan it might be worth getting into if you are not already.

I thought I read that people were having issues with tire size and 2025. Maybe that’s changed?

Ok, I just got my truck back. I’ll report back. Thanks.
