I haven't taken the rear cap or doors off, but I do get the panels off when the weather looks good for the week/weekend. The B&O "upgrade" is probably a decent chunk of the $4500 Lux package, but it just doesn't feel like a $1000-2000 system to me. Even with the factory sound deadening headliner the speakers don't really pack any sort of punch in the closed cab.
I also have a decent bit of hearing loss, so it could certainly be a me issue, but the market only exists if enough other people feel the same way.
I’d concur it’s not a “punchy” system, but I’d say it’s not trying to be. It reproduces pretty faithfully and fully at middle volumes. As to what part of the “lux” package it represents price wise? Hard to say. I wanted the 360 cam and the ACC. The lux package on my sticker was $2850 all in.

Would that require an additional AMp? I'm looking to do speakers only.
No amp required, many have done just the speakers.

I have the base 7 system. I did the Audison 4" and ran that way with no amp for about a month. There's a guy on Youtube that replaced his speakers with $35 / pair and they sounded significantly better.

I was also hoping that 'premium' sound would be worth it. I bought mine a month ago and would've gotten Lux if it sounded half way decent. I listened at the dealer and decided to save the money, buy aftermarket.

Changed in MY 25.
Job 2 change maybe? or maybe the change happened with Job 1?

I just know how the old one was wired... I tore the whole thing out and started over. DSP, AMP, Speakers, all of it... connected in A2B. The DSP allowed me to tune it exactly how I wanted... I did cheat with the tune though and started with a tune the Morel engineers designed specifically for the bronco. I think it was for a 4 door though that has the rear pods located further back and directed downward more than what I have in my 2 door.

It was Job 1 2025.

Old system ran an older version of A2B. Some speakers were powered by the DSP in the back, some from the ACM in front.

The new system runs a newer version of A2B and everything is powered by a (much improved) DSP in the rear.

Though Ford's cost per speaker is probably around $10.

Contemplating swapping two outboard Ground Zero 4" coax to one in center 2Audison AP to outboard, and one GZ coax and one scanspeak in pods because seems a tad bright with flac and wav

You must be better at mixing the mechanicals than I am... I tend to get tonal mismatches. Sometimes I can live with it if I have a lot of physical separation between the cones but this is a small close area. Brightness in this environment I will try and address by either changing to "matched" sets of cones with a softer tweet (silk dome?) or simply dialing in more roll off in the top end using the DSP....

Whether you just want to replace speakers or speakers and amps, MB Quart offers some nice solutions that are economical. I have a non-B&O system and replace it with

https://mbquart.com/shop/mobile/mob...el-audio-systems-or-aftermarket-source-units/

and...

If you just want to replace speakers, you can get these...

and...

Nahhh it just that what I have to work with on experimental basis and since pods are just fill tuned for front stage Im specualating it might be worth the hour to swap around since ive done it enough times playong with Hertz MP 70.3 that had on hand before buying another GZ coax...besides im using the B&O because it has a pretty good tune sounds great on 250-320 kbs....just too bright on flac rez... curios more than anything since AP4 has a reasoable graph up to 10K hz and Im not gonna toss $600 of GZ coax out....they have silk dome tweeter. Cross frquency is 6000 hz which may explain brightness because on a DSP I would have 4" woofer cross at 600-3.5K and tweeter 3.5-20 with a 3-4 db cut in the 3-4k range or so
