I have had two broncos. Both 23 WT. Both had a vibration in the steering wheel from 55-70. Dealer claimed it was normal. It’s not normal. Il be going to a different dealer next week to try again. I only have the one now but the vibration drives me nuts. 3600 miles but has done it since day 1.
I have nearly 96k miles and I don't have any vibrations at 70+ mph. If I wanted it to vibrate at highway speeds, I would have bought a Jeep.

I’ve got a ‘23 OBX with about 3800 miles and aftermarket Methods and Toyo Open Country AT III tires. They’ve been on since 250 miles without issue. Smooth and problem-free.

After getting into the gas pedal on the interstate the other day, I have developed a vibration/shake right at the 70mph mark. Nothing has changed and it seems to have come out of nowhere.
I have had them rebalanced, rotated, added hubcentric rings, but to no avail. Scratching my head as to what the issue could be seeing as I had the smoothest of rides for the first 3700 miles…

Any help would be appreciated.
Sounds like a driveline issue. Not sure how Ford balances drive shafts but I've seen some throw the small weights that are affixed to make sure the shaft is in balance. Due to the small diameter of the driveshaft, the issue doesn't really come into play until the rotational speed of the shaft hits a certain speed. Could also be mud or some other sticky and heavy material on the wheels or rotating parts. Get underneath and take a look.

Well, I’ve done just about every this short of going to the dealer. After multiple attempts at balancing and other hopeful causes, the vibration at 70+ continues.

I did notice this morning when I did a rotation that my front driver rotor has play (side to side) in it that is not present on any other position. Unfortunately, I am far short of calling myself even an intermediate DIYer, but I was taught that the rotor is essentially sandwiched between the hub and wheel when properly torqued. Could this be my issue? If not, I’ll head to the dealer next week and report back.

I'd take it to another shop to balance, I fought balance on my Mickey's, 6+ balances, 2 warranty tires, still persisted. Took to another shop, they found 26oz of weights on one wheel, others were almost as bad. The 26oz tire only took 3 oz to balance. Both shops have the roadforce balancer (or whatever its called). Take a look and see if there are weights on both sides of the wheel, they might just keep adding weight to counter balance instead of starting over.

Edit: yeah, check out that play issue but worth checking the weights. The rotor is held in by the wheel, so they flop around until the wheel is installed.

UPDATE: After multiple attempts to fix and trying all the tips offered, I still could not get rid of the vibration.

I was changing my oil a while back and notice my front passenger coilover (well the shock anyway) had hydraulic oil all over it. Took it to the dealer and had it replaced under warranty.

No more vibration...I'm not super mechanically inclined, and feel like I know just enough to get in trouble.

Could this have been the cause or am I going crazy now that it's gone? Happy either way.
