I’m group b price protected for badlands 2dr from 21’ order $2450 but if I found a lower trim 2dr or 4dr black diamond or a higher trim 2dr or 4dr wildtrack is my price protection the same $2450 amount for whatever trim I apply to on a dealer stock unit?

Yes.

For 2023MY Broncos your price protection amount of entirely dependent on what you had on order—or reserved if you didn't order—as of Sept 9th, 2022. It has nothing to do with the Bronco you ultimately end up buying (unless you buy a Heritage Limited or Raptor.)

Well, since mine is currently being 'blended" and should be on its way to the dealer soon, barring the railroad strike thing that is, I went through to see what I am actually paying. Short story is.....good news!

Even though my dealer would not say a word and just said "we don't know till the vehicle arrives" I used the info Ford has posted. With the private rebate of $3,220 I am paying $500 less than my original order in 2020.

With Ford's wording of the private offer was to "help with the price increases" I was worried but it looks like the system worked in my favor. Instead of having the base price and options cost stay at 2020 levels, with consolidating all "protections" into one value put me on the high end of the bell curve.

Original agreement was a price of $53,068.40 which was $1,300 below invoice.

2021 order: I changed to High pkg, from Mid. Ford dropped the dual top for me so I choose the hard top. Signed agreement for 2021 was 53,677.00

2023 order: Nothing changed, and the "private rebate" is $3,220 for my selection.... which winds up being an out-the-door price of $53,037.80.

The sticker price is $59,765 so, about 11.25% below sticker!!!! Not even counting the Ford points hands out for the trouble. And it only cost me 2.5 years of waiting; I'll take it!

I didn't get any price protection.

My dealer clicked "protection date" in smart vincent and I still ended up paying msrp and that was about 5-6 weeks ago.

I thought I was going to get a check from Ford but nothing.

My order date was 11/05/2021, and I bought my bronco on 10/18/2022.

For MY'22, there are the Smart Vincent private offers for the MY'21 build getting pushed to MY'22. And then there is the retail price protection for MY'22 for mid-year price increases.

From your order date (didn't mention that it was a reorder from MY'21), you don't qualify for a private offer. But you are protected from the mid-year price increase. That PP is handled differently from Ford in the form of a credit back to the dealer. The processing can take 45-90 days at which time you should either receive the check from your dealer or Ford directly.

MY'23 private offers are in Smart Vincent and like last year's mid-year price increases, there will also be a PP for those that take delivery after the mid-year price increase.

The MY'22 private offer exists now and expires in the new year. It only applied towards the purchase of a MY'22 Bronco.

There will also be a MY'23 private offer in Smart Vincent. That offer obviously applies towards the purchase of a MY'23 Bronco. The two private offers will exist in the system at the the same time for a brief period. I don't know if the MY'23 certs have been loaded in the system yet. It was presumed that would take place after 11/21/22 when the deadline passed to convert the MY'23 order and the order banks were purged of remaining PC'99 orders.

The MY'23 private offer has no clause for voiding the validity of the offer in the event of build spec changes. You can change whatever you want on your build. But of course, the offer is only based on the MY'22 build spec. The only Broncos that aren't eligible for PP are the Limited Heritage Edition and the Raptor.

This is the first that we have seen a screenshot of one. Weird that it was first valid when the MY'23 order banks opened when a MY'23 wasn't possible to be purchased then. Ford even titled it as a "Model Year Transition Private Offer". I think we can surmise that these "temporary" certs exist only to be replaced with permanent MY'23 certs for next year.

Seems as if Ford has found a way to make what seemed like a straight forward program for MY'23 eliminating the exclusions of changing a build spec by introducing new hurdles that dealers and buyers will have to clear with these "temporary" certs. SNAFU

They may just be misinformed as last years program had a number of exclusions that voided the cert (door count/trim/etc.). It also didn't apply to the Everglades and Raptor last year.

You can always suggest that Program #36844 expanded the offering and eliminated exclusions that were in place from the prior year. In the first post, there are links that the dealer can reference to gain familiarity of the program. Of course, they might have simply overlooked the latest communication or they could just be a scummy dealer.

Yes, each cert will have a unique # that is linked to the appropriate amount. It is up to the dealer to know the exclusions (Limited HE or Raptor). In the event, they attempt to apply the cert to an excluded vehicle, they just won't be reimbursed by Ford as corporate will exclude the cert.

I don’t know what to believe when it comes to the price protection. Had a bronco originally reserved 4dr BL 7-17-20. Ordered 4 door BL 2-2-21. Reordered 4 dr BL October 2021 when 2022 reorder occurred. Changed order to 4dr BD when 2023 reorder happened 9-27-22. Dealer didn’t mention 2023 transition certificate at all at first. When I brought it up they then said they would send me a check for the amount after the sale. Eventually they said they would apply it to sale but said the amount was $2820. Unless I misunderstood the chart for the 2023 Ford transition amount it says based on the vehicle and door configuration as of 9-9-22 which was a BL and is PP at $3320.
