Should, if you meet all the date guidelines and was it the last version/order before the '23 swap. Was it possible though to keep an FE order all this time?

From a Ford sponsored price protection article with a very click baity title of Ford Does Away with 'Price Protection' for '23 (spoiler alert, they didn't, they just renamed the program):

Ford Bronco Ultimate 2023MY PRICE PROTECTION Flowchart 1668008764345

Article also states that customers will receive info in an email and the FAQ will be updated as well.

This is super in the Ford weeds... but technically "Price Protection" internally at Ford refers to Retail Price Protection... which they did do away with in 2023MY. For 2022MY there was two systems in play...
  • Retail price protection
  • Private offers via Smart VINCENT
This year we don't have retail price protection... we just have the Smart VINCENT private offers (for now anyway).

But that's meaningless for most people. They don't know or care what Ford's internal definition of "Price Protection" is... and they don't care that there is a difference between retail price protection and private offers... they just want the original price of their vehicle protected and logically they would call that "price protection" regardless of the internal lingo.

BUT, sometimes that internal lingo is important to know when talking to your dealer.

Long time lurker; first time poster. Just found this link (Hope I’m not duplicating efforts)
https://www.ford.com/support/how-to...el-year-bronco-transition-private-offer-faqs/
I tried both Chrome and Edge so I don't think it's on my side but on Ford's. In my experience any topic after "How do I know my 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer Amount? " just keeps displaying the same table and doesn't actually answer the questions listed like "What types of changes can be made to the order now without impacting the 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer amount?" or "How do I claim the 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer?".

I'm thinking some simple coding error but conspiracists feel free to raid the Reynolds Wrap section at the Costco for your hat building pleasure! 🤡

Its Ford…wonky but they’re clearly working on it. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised they put incomplete info out there

I reserved my bronco 8/2020 and just received it in July of this year. I called ford about the price protection because my dealership could not find my price protection. Ford told me that they could not help me and talk to my dealership again. Any advice?

Alright... 2023MY time!

If any of this is wrong please let me know ASAP. I don't want to add to the confusion.

As of today (Nov 4th, 2022) we are about a 1-2 weeks away from the beginning of 2023MY production. I want to stress that the information in this post is only valid for those taking delivery on a 2023MY Bronco, and is NOT valid for 2022MY Broncos nor will it be valid for a 2024MY Bronco.

ARE YOU TAKING DELIVERY OF A 2022MY?
You're in the wrong place. Check out the 2022MY Price Protection Thread.

Unlike 2022MY, all 2023MY price protection rebates will be handled via private offer certificates in Smart VINCENT under Pgm #38644 (last year it was split between private offers and retail price protection). These private offers should be visible to the dealer when you go to pick up your vehicle. You and your dealer have two options when applying price protection:
  • Apply the price protection to the final selling price of the Bronco at the time you take delivery. In most situations this makes the most sense due to sales tax.
  • Pay the full price for your Bronco and wait for Ford to send out a check after you take delivery.
Exactly how much you qualify for depends on WHEN you ordered/reserved and WHAT you had reserved/ordered as of Sept 9th, 2022. Refer to the flow charts and price table below. Note that it does not matter what you order for 2023MY, your price protection amount will remain the same regardless of what you order for 2023MY. (The exception to this rule is if you switch your order to Raptor or end up purchasing a Heritage Limited. Both are ineligible for price protection.)

Keep in mind this is simply the protections Ford is offering to you as an order holder. However, the final selling price is ultimately between you and your dealer. Ultimately Ford cannot guarantee the final selling price of the vehicle and (generally speaking) cannot protect your from dealer markups. They can only protect you from the MSRP price increases they themselves have added through the past year or so.

Zach,
How does this price protection work for our orders since we are under invoice for pricing?

The price protection works as a rebate so we sell at the agreed to price and you keep the additional discount in the form of this direct offer or rebate.

I'm a day one reservation holder and decided to 99 that order in hopes of the Heritage model. I now have an order submitted for this model but my sales rep stated I meet the criteria but was unable to locate if I qualify for this offer as he check SMARTvincent. I reached out to Ford customer service and @Ford Motor Company whom both redirected me back to my sales rep. According to this chart I should be eligible for the $3,880 private offer. Any advice on moving forward on this?

Honestly I’d give it a few weeks. The certificates may not be loaded into SmartVINCENT yet (although I thought they had been, but maybe they haven’t been activated yet, not sure).

Heritage is a late availability trim anyway that isn’t likely to start production until sometime in Q2 2023, so you got plenty of time to figure it out.

Correct. The MY'23 offers haven't been loaded yet.

And a curious aside to your last statement, I've already seen MY'23 production Broncos rolling down the line even though J1 hasn't started.

Ok, thank you for the reassurance as I became concerned that I may have been leaped frogged.

Yeah I've always thought the Job #1 date was a little misleading. Seems pretty clear production starts well before that. But maybe they're all pre-production units or something (seems like an awfully large amount of pre-production units to be honest, but meh). Not familiar enough with that side of the business to be in-the-know about that stuff.
When a heritage edition rolls down the line, one might say it is for publicity. But it was a standard HE. And then seeing an azure gray on a lower trim the week before makes you wonder how absolute the line in the sand is for a J1.
