So to confirm: I ordered a Base on 10/20 which qualifies me using Column A for $3,645 PP but I am in Allocation Hell. I am also a Z Plan (Retired) buyer. If I order new or find existing stock I get my Z Plan price and $3,645?

You can get the 2023MY Z-plan price... plus the $3,645. You can't get the 2021MY or 2022MY Z-plan price.

Keep in mind that dealers can choose whether or not to sell vehicles under AZD-plan. Normally it is a no brainer as it helps dealers secure a sale and get reimbursed for it. But nowadays when dealers can easily charge $3000+ above MSRP for Base Broncos, I suspect many dealers won't be willing to sell you a vehicle on the lot using plan pricing. BUT, no harm in trying.

Don't. That $100 is long forgotten and triggers the private offer. Can't say for certainty that the private offer vanishes if you cancel the original order, but it will cost you nothing to leave it.

So I reserved Aug 8 2020 but I didn't officially convert to an order until Mar 19 2021 (the exact day as the cutoff) would I still be group A? And my dealer said there would just be a dollar amount refund I get off of MSRP, this was back when I converted to a MY23. Basically said they are selling it to me at 2023 MSRP pricing and Ford would give me a refund back once I took possession. That might be outdated now though.

You will be in Group A based on the MY'22 build spec. The final selling price is between you and the dealer. They can certainly ask for MSRP and have the rebate sent to you after the sale. I would ask that they apply the rebate at the time of sale so that you can save on taxes.

Unknown. Rumor is that it'll be Q1 2023, but Ford hasn't said officially either way.

It probably depends on how many reservation holders order/reorder before the Nov 21st deadline.

Thanks for posting this information. Why Ford Motor Company didn't send out this information to protect order holders from shady dealers we'll never know. While I do appreciate that fact that Ford is offering this price protection, I am a little upset that I will not be paying the $39005 MSRP from the .pdf printout of my build from 12/13/2020. The price went up before order banks opened in 2021 by $1100 to $40105. With the price protection of $3645 my 2023 (if it gets picked for build) is $40355. Additionally, in my experience with dealers in Washington, the rebate gets taken off the post tax price which lowers my price protection by 10.3% ($364.50). So, I'm still getting a deal but $1853.55 more than I originally thought ($1350+tax+$354.50). That would have paid for my winch bumper.

Ford you can trust... shouldn't be any problem with changing your vehicle config from Ford's standpoint.

Dealers... well... that depends entirely on your dealer. Some dealers are awesome and fully understand it.

Other dealers... not so much. It's really not that complicated, and the only reason as to why so many dealers get it wrong that I can think of is they are simply not reading the information that Ford posts in the dealer portal (or they are trying to squeeze some extra money out). The information in this post is the exact information that is sent out to dealers—it isn't like I'm posting some secret insider Ford information. It is the same information dealers are getting. Even dealers like Granger Ford—which have generally speaking been awesome throughout this process—will get their wires crossed from time to time (as @Beach_Bum mentioned).

Unfortunately for us, we are not buying these vehicles from Ford. We are buying them from dealers.

I was talking to Samantha, even after presenting her with the link to Fords communication on 2023 Price protection she replied with something completely different. This was my wife's and she thought it was lil shady especially after presenting her with the the info on FORDS site.

Doesn't matter, by the time some people get their Granger Bronco all the price protection programs will be gone.

They should but they won't. Dealer are trained to not negotiate final price until you are sitting there staring at the new car.

Thanks for the information. I hate the games that get played. They have to know that some of us have figured out what we are entitled to. I can't really go anywhere if I felt that they were playing games with that number. A lot of variables I know, but it might be easier to just say I'll take a check from Ford. This way I know I there shouldn't be any games played. Ugh.
