UGH! MIC Top cracking

2023 Badlands, just went over 20K miles. This started a while ago and was one line and has accelerated quickly Over the last couple of weeks. It is above the rear window between the hinges, flexing from the window opening and closing? I have an appointment at the dealer for an oil change this weekend and will show them then. Also passenger seat belt not retracting, doesn’t bother me too much but my wife is goin crazy

I looked at a used one that had 2k miles on it the other day and it had cracking all around the rear windows on both sides . 2023. I ended up buying a new 2023 left on the lot. I assume dealers are good about warranting these.

I have three good friends with hardtops and theirs are all cracking. Mine is the only one that hasn't cracked yet. This seems to be an exceptionally common issue. What is going to happen when mine starts cracking out of warranty? There is no way that the life expectancy of a cars hard top is 4 years. They should last the life of the vehicle.

There are a few of us pro peeps here that has had multiple tops replaced. My 2022 is on number 5 with the original top. Life in the Bronco world! It has been the only problem besides the front drive shaft. Other than that best vehicle I have owned!

Mine 23 BD is cracking in the same spots. Still have 2 years left on warranty so I’m going to wait until closer to warranty expiration have mine replaced, unless it becomes an issue with water leaking or window not functioning correctly

I live in the PNW, in another month it Wii be wet constantly

I just moved to a place where the elevation is close to 8,500, it has rained every other day, and the temperature swings from 45 at night to 75 during the day. We will be here from 6 months to a year and I do not see my previous crack problems getting any better. Especially since Ford said they were normal and not an issue. I cannot wait to see what happens when it snows, it melts into the cracks, then freezes at night.

Let us know how you fair with contacting Ford. They initially contacted me as well but multiple dealers either blew me off or said there was no problem and the Ford contact from this forum backed them up.

My early ‘23 4 door has had no problems. My later ‘23 2 door is getting the top replaced in the next week or so. It’s a crap shoot with these things.

Has anyone thought about spraying bedliner the MIC TOP as a way to protect it from cracking?

Had the same thing happen on my Wildtrack at 4500mi! Ford replaced it, the dealer treated my Bronco like a 1983 Toyota Tercel and now it squeaks when I am driving....

Sounds like you're confident the replacement top will have no problems. I wouldn't be....
