The feel of my 3.0 rack has definitely changed over time. At first it was fairly firm. Now it requires very little input to steer, even at slow speeds. I've wheeled it several times and makes me a little nervous now with how little feedback it has as compared to new.
In the thread on enabling lane centering and intelligent cruise control, someone posted a list of things that the car is doing, among them compensating for drift and centering assist. I also noticed that when I enabled the adaptive cruise with stop&go, which included a pcm relearn, it took a bit of driving for the centering and extra assist at low speeds to come back to the way they were before... so hopefully you're just noticing the system adjusting as needed.

The burrito place fell short, definitely not going back. Dogs gave it a 10/10 after I gave up half way through.

But I am fixed! definitely an inner tie rod. This is the second bad inner I have dealt with and both have felt like blow steering racks. I need to cut them open and see what's inside, whatever they are using for slop take up is what's failing.

Going forward I am going to say if the inner is stiff there is a good possibility then joint is bad.
The good one was smooth and very easy turn the inner socket. Very similar to how smooth and easy the outer moves. See picture below, one on Viagra was bad.

This has me thinking that Carli really has the right idea on their inner, and tie rod system as is greas-able with brass bushings, and re-build able. I also like the double shear attachment at the hub end.

I completely agree, seems(need to be proven) like one of the best solutions. Lots of these products, like my steering 74Weld parts, are not really proven long term solutions. So far I feel like HOSS 3.0 is well matched for the improved tie rods. That is about all I can say!
