Hey guys quick question,
I recently got my 24 Bronco and on the door vin plaque it says it was built in Jan / 24.

I had watched tccustoms video from a year ago, and he said that the badlands / Sasquatch would get the HOSS 3.0 steering.

My question is when did they start implementing it into the actual builds? On the forums some say all 24 + sasq got it... some say only badlands w/ sasquatch got it.

With mine being such a early build in the year (Jan /24) would mine have that upgraded steering ?? I do have the badlands with sasquatch pkg. Also is there a way to check what day the truck was built? to see if it was built in early or later in the month to see if on a later date build my truck got the new steering hardware. Is there a way to check?

please let me know.

Thank you

I am pretty sure every 2024 Badlands w/sasquatch upgrade get the HOSS 3.0 heavy duty steering rack. If you did not get SAS then its the HOSS 2.0 steering rack. Wildtrak goes one step further in adding the Fox suspension instead of the Bilsteins on yours.

Improved rack is standard on all '24 Badlands, with or without Sasquatch.

Update so i recently was on the Canadian website ford.ca....... and the HOSS 3.0 is now an option... so if you don't click it, you wont get it!

With all these one year options... ie 24s having no base then bringing back the base again for 25, removing the wireless charger option etc... lol they're going to confuse a lot of people

lol That being said love my 24!!

Just to clear this up...

HOSS 3.0 refers to the suspension system only. The steering rack is completely separate and has nothing to do with HOSS 3.0. It is standard with Badlands, even for 2025.

HOSS = High-speed Offroad Stability Suspension
The reason why people call it "HOSS 3.0 steering rack" is because in 2022, the HOSS 3.0 Package also included the severe duty steering rack as well as steel bumpers and bash plates. That package only existed for late 2022 Broncos, but for whatever reason the name for that steering rack stuck in the Bronco community, even though Ford has never called it that.

The HOSS 3.0 option for 2025 only includes the upgraded FOX suspension. The steel bumper, bash plates, and severe duty steering rack are already included standard.

I somewhat disagree with this description, when it came out Ford marketed the system (not just the Fox shocks). Hoss 3.0 included the steering rack, sway bars, and the shocks. Just because they make one component standard (like the rear staybar on 4-door Sas's in 2023), doesn't mean that the component aren't part of the system. And I've not sure Ford ever marketed the Fox shocks alone as Hoss 3.0, only listed it as one of the components of it.

Hoss 1.0

Offered on: Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Black Diamond

  • 190mm IFS axle
  • 220mm solid rear axle
  • 1-zone damping
  • Base-level steering rack, steering gear, and tie-rod system

hate to beat a dead horse...

But in this 2025 video

from 1:30 min mark on....... and specifically @2:09 he says they upgraded the steering rack to raptor's...
IS he referring to the same "steering gear" that bronco nations talked about for the 24 models... ie the 24 / 25 are the same?
or did the 25 get an entire new steering system again?

in that video @ 3:35 mark they say "Gear" as in the entire package which continues into the 2025s or another upgrade they got from wildtrack?

Just trying to see if they mean the entire system as a whole has been upgraded for the 2025 (gearing and tire rods) or stayed the same since the 2024? did the 2024 "gearing" include just the internal upgrades or included tie rods too?
The wording is confusing!
Is there a way to physically check on the car ?
