Is there a way to have the "Infotainment" screen default to the OFF setting?

I looked through all the menus and manuals and didn't see anything, just wondering if there is a setting that can make this happen... 2DR BaseSquatch if that makes any difference.

Generally after starting I turn off the auto-stop, and then go into settings, then display and turn the screen off.

It would be awesome if I could set it to default to off.

95% of the time I don't sync my phone to it, and I just have a couple radio stations I listen to... so honestly it's more of a distraction for me than anything else. Especially at night.

Also, I mostly use the Bronco as a way to get away from the screens I have to stare at all day... it's a much more relaxing drive without it on. Again, for me anyway.

I'm probably in the minority here, but if I could have opted to delete the TV, and have the climate/radio controls in that space I would have done it.

I want the exact same thing. It's much more relaxing 95% of the time to have the display off. Surely there's a way to program it with one of those plugin things?

This would be nice. That screen is big. Way to much interior light while trying to look at a dark road. Yes I have dimmed mine and it is tolerable but turning off all together would be nice without toggling several screens deep.

FORScan is amazing. I was able to change all types of settings. Unfortunately, I can't find the one for setting the display to off by default.

If anyone knows the setting, please chime in.

I am a minimalist, and like a dark cockpit, so the first thing I do every time I start the engine is turn the screen off manually. It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if it was not necessary.

I turn my screen off at night also. This was one of the reasons I wanted the Low-tech package, to avoid the giant screen. Standard screen is plenty big.

Just checking in to see if anyone has found a solution to this? I also do not like the Bronco screen on at any time day or night. I don't need navigation to tell me where I know I am. Thinking of selling this Bronco and getting something more old school as it's my second vehicle, but I'd like to keep it if I can customize it a little bit more. I would also like to disable the silly animations.

I have Forscan and have customized things a little bit like the double honk delete and seatbelt nanny delete but haven't found any resources to be able to adjust the screen settings.

Another pet peeve is that I can't browse any of my music while driving over 5MPH. So instead I have to pull over and block traffic to change Artist lol.

I feel like I saw a screen dust cover or something online to “black it out”. Maybe Stickerfab? I don’t know and can’t research now. Then again for a dark cockpit it should be easy to come up with any number of ways to cover it up; velcro/magnet stick on trim a piece of fabric or gasket material and attach around the edge/bezel.

If one tapes the edges nicely, one can always spray paint it black (or any other color), and stick a Ford or Sasquatch sticker there.

I didn't even know you could turn it off.

If you do turn it off, I suppose the Fed Gov makes Ford turn it back on if you put it in reverse?
