Hey everybody! Love my Bronco, but when I get a text and the notification pops up on the screen, the sound is loud! Any way to shut it off or turn it out?

TIA!

If you have an iPhone, just turn it to silent using the side switch. I don’t get audible text notifications through CarPlay if the phones switch is set to silent.

Thanks for the response. I'm on an Android (Galaxy), and even when on silent, it comes through. I'll keep working on it!

Silent switch on my iPhone doesn’t stop the loud annoying chime, when I’m just connected through BT and not CarPlay. Still can’t figure it out.

You may need to go into Settings, Notifications and disable the on the phone. You can do it by application.

I have the opposite problem. 😄 Sound only plays through the phone, not the Bronco's speakers. So most of the time there's enough ambient noise that I don't notice a text has come in unless I see the banner pop up on the screen.

So I had the same problem and it's a little tricky to figure out. You have to go into settings and then go to phone and if you have an Android phone you have to take it off Android auto and select phone connection so that you can actually go and make adjustments to phone settings inside of phone settings. There is an icon for text and there you can turn off noise notifications for text messaging. I created a video at this link that you can look at that will walk you through step by step.
