I searched the forums and I did not see a past topic so how do I turn off the ultra annoying touch screen is disable while moving?

Not the passenger seatbelt chime, the one where my Bronco is moving and I touch the display and it is locked "for my safety..."

Believe it or not, if there is a passenger, it will let you navigate the screen

Yeah, I haven't been able to get around that..it is indeed locked for our safety, I mean "annoyance" lol

Thanks, now that you have said that, I have seen that in other vehicles when I am shotgun. I wish there was a way to disable it all together.

I've never ran into that, what are you trying to do that doesn't function while moving?

Everything on CarPlay works, and Ive adjusted sound settings through Sync, I'm just curious.

For myself, I think I was trying to send a voice text, but it needed connected in settings for handsfree but u couldn't do that while moving, and my Waze app was not safety approved lol

Can't type an address into google maps
Can't select a song from itunes
Can't turn on the camera (different, but still annoying)


Google maps doesn't bother me much, I've learned that if I need it, search what I need before leaving, then it will be in my recents which I can access while moving.

itunes really bugs me though, I swear it used to let me choose from "favorites" so I'd keep what I was listening to in the favorites to access easily, but it no longer does. But, if I grab my phone I can look all through itunes and select what I want. So much safer looking down at a phone than at the touchscreen

Oh, and there is a device on the market that can override this (but not he camera or ditch lights) but its around $300 if I remember, not worth it for me.

Basically what @cbrenthus said to include if I need to call a number or really irritating is if there is an extension.
