Turbo Intake Coupling Twisted?

Sorry if this has been brought up already but I couldn't find a post on this anywhere: does anyone/everyone else's coupling at the turbo intake look like this or is mine twisted?

Seems like it's constricted but I could see it being intentional as a vortex inducer...

from what I heard is it reduces The turbo sound. So if you remove it you hear the turbos more. I can be wrong though

No It doesn't reduced turbo sound. It helps airflow.
