Transmission Cooler Kit Questions

I'm looking to develop a transmission cooler kit for the 2.7L, just seeing if there is a demand out there. The other kits look to be $900 and $1100. Mine would target around $300 and utilize a Hayden 698 cooler with built-in thermostat.

Doesn't seem to be a huge issue with overheating on the 10 speed but my kit would be mostly compatible with the 2.7L Ranger as well. Let me know of any questions or interest.

That's a fair point. My goal isn't to build a "cheap" kit, it's to build a more cost-effective kit for the everyday guy. Toyotas have plenty of trans. cooler options in this price range. I know because I've developed and sold them before.

From what I've seen so far, a significant portion of the cost in the existing kits appears to be in the custom radiators and hoses. My thought was to use a proven off-the-shelf cooler (Hayden 698 series) and Gates hoses.

I’d like to see how the product concept looks. I get that can be hard to do when you’re still gauging interest. I’ve got the parts for the Raptor cooler so I’d like to see how it can compare, especially at that price point.

Who is having trans temp issues? Sounds like a fix to a problem I have not seen.
