Ditching my 22' 2dr and looking for 92-96 Bronco, IN CALIFORNIA. As you would guess, extremely limited inventory thanks to our ridiculous emissions rules. Might have to start an LLC in Montana just to get one here. Any knowledge of listing sites or of actual cars for sale please share. Thanks!

Thanks. Tried them all. BAT is great for sellers-not so great for buyers. FYI, purchases also include a 15% premium on top of winning bid. Cheers!

Whoa-that's a monster! Lot's of great options out of state but California emissions rules put them out of reach, as far as I know.

Find a 96 5.0 it was MAF not speed density so its easier to modify. It was also OBD II. My 95 EB i had to swap in a mustang computer MAF in order to run my 427SBF. 95's and earlier are OBD I and are harder to program. Ask me how I know. Good luck

1992-1996 Ford Broncos in California require biennial, stringent tailpipe smog inspections (BAR-97 roller test). They are not exempt from smog checks, as exemptions currently only apply to 1975-and-older vehicles. Vehicles must have all original California emissions parts, or CARB-exempt aftermarket parts, to pass inspection.

MJBbase, a couple things
I would stay away from 1996 model, that year went to ODB2 smog ...
!995 and early you can do a number of things to get greater performance within california

I am an original owner, 95 F150 Lightening with those mods... and have passed smog tests for decades.

The OBD2 has more data and more details to its testing... and if you try to alter that year ... well it's a lot harder. Kalifornia at it's ...

Let's just say OBDI is a lot dumber ;^)
