So, no concerns about 4wd differentials and the different tread depth? I've been told that it can be a problem....but I'm just an accountant. (With a personality)

Mechanically? No, because that’s what these (open) differentials are exactly designed to do: allow the wheels across the axle to spin at different speeds, differentiation , no matter the cause, such as turning, slippage, or the tires being slightly different size because of differing tread depth.

However, in a modern car such as the bronco you have computers, interpreting vehicle state dynamics based on wheel speed indicators. A slight but constant speed differentiation may affect the behavior of stability control. I suspect it is not a problem for the Broncos system, but maybe others can chime in with their experience…

Great topic, glad it was brought up. Because I just had my tires rotated at 5k miles and forgot to ask for the 5 tire rotation. As I was picking it up as the shop was closing for the night, the tech even mentioned I may want to do a 5 tire rotation.
My next rotation is at 10k, so I will start doing the 5 jobbie then.

Must be nice! I’d love to have that f around and find out kind of money.. if you ever want to donate your basically new tires to a good cause holler at me 😂
You can sell tires in good condition for almost as much as a new one in many places. It's kind of ridiculous. I know one guy at work that does the same thing - runs to about 15k miles, then sells them used, gets about 75-90% of the money back, and just goes and buys a new set.

Just have to be willing to let them sit in your garage while they are up for sale for a bit. I don't have the patience to sit in the tire shop that often myself.

The AWD module will pick up if there is a significant wheel speed mismatch and throw a Check 4x4 fault (and that disables a lot - like cruise control, collision prevention, etc), I don't know what the threshold is, but fairly substantial. I've got it running in the snow before, but never on dirt.

I've always heard within 3/32" you are fine, and I think that's well within the margin of the AWD module trigger. I'd suspect it probably can go way beyond that before it will flag, but I don't know.

@7k miles on my Sas, never rotated the tires, I don't believe in it on a RWD/AWD vehicle. Front weheel drive is a different story, the frot tires have more that 60% of the work on them, the rearss are just along for the ride. My Goodyears look like new with no abnormal wear. But to answer your question, I don't think 15k is too late if it makes you feel better.
Thanks, wjtinfwb. It’s refreshing for someone on the forum to be concerned about another person’s feelings. I do feel better now 🤩. Hope that not rotating your tires thing works out, let us know — could save us all time and money, which definitely would make me feel even better.

Dealer missed the spare on my first service and rotation, which was 5k. At next service they worked it in, saying it was fine to do so, which was around 10k. I’m running almost all miles on 2H default mode, so not much concern if off by a 32’th or 2. Interestingly they told me a TPMS was necessary as the tech said it was not on the spare. Clearly wrong info and the service rep argued it with me and even started the parts order, which would have been well over $100. All because the tech didn’t realize it takes a minutes and miles for the sensor to read.
My servicing dealer said the same thing - told me a 5 tire rotation was impossible because of the sensor. They asked the "senior tire tech" - same thing. I showed them in the owners manual - they were redfaced. They actually knocked 20% off my service total for the confusion. Come to find out they were confused between the Bronco and the Bronco Sport - the latter of which has a donut spare. smh
