Tire pressure question

I have a 22 Big Bend and installed 33” KO2 load range C tires.

What tire pressure should I run for comfortable daily driving?

I’ll air down when I off road but curious the best pressure for around town.

Mine originally came with the 33" KO2s and I was down to 32psi in the front and 34psi in the back for everyday driving. Ford's recommended 39psi is way too much IMO

My vehicle recommends 39 cold, however, I run 37 cold for slightly better wear across the width of the tire.

Understand though, underinflating below the recommendation of the manufacturer will cause poor handling (especially in emergency situations), decreased fuel efficiency, and an increased risk of tire failure.

Water test them.

Find a spot that is flat.
Pour water down
Drive though it
Look at tire pattern
If full pattern you are inflated correctly
If only the outer sides or the outer sides appear darker then under inflated
If center is darker then over inflated

You can do this with chalk also.

as @Mlarv mentioned chalk is the best way to find what pressure gives your tread total contact with the road. Google "Tire Chalk Test." That will give you the pressure that is best for your tread. You can always go up or down from that pressure that is better for comfort if you want.

I do 36 all around. When new, I went to the Costco (self serve) and took much of the air out and filled with nitrogen.

I run 39 cold just like Ford recommends. I don't understand people complaining about how their stock, not lifted, Bronco rides. To me, and everyone who's ridden in it, it's like a luxury car.

Up to around 70-75 it's smoother and quieter than my 2002 WRX with Michelin Climate 2 tires.

BTW, my Bronco came with K02 33" load range C tires. I'm very happy with them.

PSI is specific to tire size and vehicle weight. If you don't know what PSI your tires should be, consult an inflation chart to determine the PSI for your tire size and your vehicle weight. There is no magic number that fits all.

This is the chart I prefer, but you can use one from any manufacturer regardless of what brand your tires are: Application of Load Inflation Tables Version 2020-7 (toyotires.com)

In general, as tire size goes up, PSI goes down to support a specific weight. The more air volume in the tire, the more weight each pound of pressure supports.

Why would you put more air in the tires than what the TIRE is rated for?

Most have the tires Over Inflated as the tread sides do not even touch the ground. This will cause uneven tire wear and shorten the life of the tire.

I have a 4-Door, V6 with 37s and run 32/30 front and back. (I could go lower and be fine) The front corner weights of the truck are 1470 Pounds each. The E rated tires are rated for 3970 pounds each at 65 pounds. You do the math.

The pressure ratings on the side of the tire is for maximum weight capacity at the maximum suggested pressure. Your Bronco empty, for the most part, is no where near this weight.
