Third brake light relocation and install

Installed the “auto buero” third brake light from Amazon and was actually pleasantly surprised with its “plug and play“ easiness. relocated the third brake light, and did away with the factory light over the rear wheel. It really cleans up the appearance of the back of the car.

Excess wires were wrapped in in black zip ties in the wheel, and the connector [and spare connector] were wrapped with the tape included from factory and additional black electrical tape. I secured the looped wires with an additional zip tie to an opening beneath wheel bracket and it’s perfectly concealed by the tire. Not a bad update for 70 bucks. I didn’t want to start splicing wires and tinkering with the electrical system on a brand new car.

Make sure that the light you’re ordering is the newer version for the bronco and has a 3.1” opening in the center or you’ll be running into some installation issues. Very good quality product so far…

Excellent, it gives it a much cleaner look. I did the same thing but used Oracle's third brake light.

Thanks! I saw the oracle and it looked nice.. Was the oracle “plug and play” or did you have to make some changes in the wiring?

I have what looks like the same one, sold under the Offroad Gamers brand. It's nice not having to worry about tire fitment and you can carry stuff on the tire without blocking the light.
