The Hood is Damn Sturdy

After a few drinks last night (didn’t drink and drive, don’t worry) my friend and I thought it would be a good idea to climb up onto the hood and lie down to stargaze for a bit. Like something out of a lame postcard, right? Unfortunately we saw more light pollution than stars, but aside from that, I was struck by how well the Bronco’s hood was able to take both mine and my friend’s weight. I detected no give, no warping, and no protesting from the Bronco whatsoever. I weigh 160, and she can’t be more than 105. And ya know what? It was actually pretty comfy, too. Ten outta ten, this thing is built right.

Live a little, lads. I’ll remember last night for a very long time!

So you’re telling me a ford tech putting their tool box on the hood of one covered in snow probably won’t do very much? People in the ice mountain threads are losing their minds when a small tool box was sitting on a hood.
