I would not get rid of our 2 door Bronco for one but I might replace my Grand Cherokee with it, it would be a contest between it and a 4 Runner.

I would not give up my Bronco for an everest either. But an Everest would not cannibalize an Explorer sale to me, but if Bronco wasn't an option it would take a 4runner sale from Toyota.
The Explorer is built on a car platform, and lacks ground clearance.
The Everest is built on the rugged Ford Australia-designed T6 Ranger platform.
