Since this is all part of a click-wrap contract, it seems Ford should be obligated to give you complete details of what they modified to meet the very low bar of fair-dealing.

Nobody's holding any big company responsible, though, so no surprise if any of them should happen to try and see how much they can get away with.

All of these updates are factors of the overall safe operation of the vehicle and should trigger recalls or similar regulatory mechanisms with the NHTSA. If they are emissions related, then the EPA should be up these car manufacturers' collective tailpipe.

This notice simply tells you that you got a half-baked product and you may have been risking your life by driving it out on the highway without these fixes... how would you ever know if they don'ttell you what is fixed?

Same here, and the manual has been in there for some time but it looks different now. Looks like they reformatted it and seems a little easier to navigate through it.

And why did Ford pull the 4.2.3 Update "Ready for Download" on ours ?
We have 4.2.2 and now it says "Another update will be available soon"
