I had a few minutes to kill today and I wanted to check out the new dash in comparison to my 2023. I immediately noticed the 2 door BaseSquatch.

Ford Bronco Test Drove 2dr 2025 Basesquatch Today IMG_7603 Larg

I love the wheels (although I don't know how heavy they are). This would be a great second Bronco if I was actually that rich.

But would I consider a newer Bronco? Naw. The color palette sucks. 12 shades of grey or blah.

Oh, and the no frills (ok, Squatch is cool) model Bronco? $50k...

So I'll keep looking for a digital dash from some poor Bronco that's met it's demise.

Oh, and basically the same model I have now they are asking a cool $72k for. https://www.damerowford.com/vehicle/1FMEE9BP4SLB52298/New-2025-Ford-Bronco-Badlands-Beaverton-OR/

Yeah I don’t know what Ford is thinking with some of these “updates”. The color choices don’t do it for me now, I agree with you. Moving some of the basic accessories around to specific models and tack on options. In all honesty, it’s like they’re handing Jeep potential customers now, especially in the Sahara segment (OBX equivalent). I don’t know why Ford dropped the green from the color menu. There is so much Ford could do in the options category with this car, and yet they’ve doing the opposite. Perhaps they’re winding down this design now for the refresh? I just looked at the 2026 online, and to get what I have on my early 2024, is basically a forced move up to the Badlands for another $10k, and still not a color I love on either inside or outside. They should have kept the “roast” color scheme on the inside, in my opinion. Oh well, just makes the older once’s that more unique and appealing. Guess those of us with the 4.29 rear end locker are heading to the unicorn category…

They lock certain features/options to specific models because they know if a lot of options were available for everyone people would just choose the cheapest Bronco and all of the accessories they want. I feel like I got that type of Bronco, though I had to wait almost 3 years for it. Plus it was only around 40K, hell of a deal!

It's always in the back of my mind that if I get in any sort of a bad car wreck and get my 23 basesquatch totaled it's going to be incredibly impossible to find an exact new replacement. Two-door base Sasquatch with a 2.7L & aux switches.

Those rims aren't any different weight than the fake BL rims (traded my grey for BL's). BL rims were one of the few options I wanted, but had to find by other means. Loving the '24 & agree the '25's don't have enough improvements to switch. :D

Agree, but some of it just doesn't make sense to me. Perhaps the strangest requirement was for the brush guard. I could get the steel performance bumper, but if I wanted the brush guard attached to it, I had to forfeit the 2.7 for the 2.3 instead. Talk about shooting one self in the foot, Ford! Why would you require a $300 accessory to delete a $2,500 upgrade for 2026? Makes 0% sense.

I'm thinking the 1H24's are the last of the sweet spot for the Bronco now, when you could actually build them up with little restrictions. 2H24's starting to see restrictions on the 2.7 for the OBX, and seems like that is when the "decontenting" kicked off full steam. I mean mine (1H24) wasn't exactly cheap, still clocked in at near $61k. Just seems stupid as to why they would limit such items like aux switches, bumpers and a basic rear locker for something that is supposed to be competing with a Jeep Wrangler image of capabilities. Honestly if I were shopping for it today, I would probably give the Wrangler a second chance consideration. That wasn't the case in Dec 2023 when I was shopping.

My 22 2 door Wildtrak has become irreplaceable. I'm afraid to take it out of the driveway. Only thing close is the Stroppe. And I don't like the color scheme, grill or price. Only 2 door with the 2.7.

Oof, Hurts my heart that you basically called me out haha. Got a 25 BB SAS 4 door in that exact color, but at least I got it for around what they want that two door for. Maybe in a few years I can make a post digging at the same Bronco being $100k to ease the heartache ;)

To get the same vehicle (except in Sand rather than A51) costs $5k more now than when I bought my ‘23 Badlands 2-dr manual. Now the disconnecting anti-sway bar is a $1300 option if you don’t go with the Sasquatch package.

I don’t see ever trading or selling my Bronco, will do everything I see myself doing with an off-roader.

Per Edmunds I read that an estimated 26% of USA vehicle buyers are underwater (by around $6K) when trying to trade in for a new vehicle. I'd let others eat the cost of these new vehicles, there should be a decent selection of used Broncos available down the road, probably many with Sas and other functionalities that were hardly if ever used.

The prices and option combos make me wonder what Ford is thinking. My 23 2 door 2.7 base Sas with mod bumper, brush guard, hoop steps and aux switches came in under $45K and I thought that was too high! But with the mods I've done, this truck is a blast and I'm still under 8500 miles on it so far with no plans on selling.

Was messing with the order site tonight. BAdlands, non-Sas. Rear cargo carpet cover, requires the 2.3 engine. What in the world? A $100 piece of cheap carpet..
This can’t be right. Has to be some kind of glitch from Ford.
