It's kind of annoying when it rains while my bronco is parked without top.

I was thinking about making the rainproof cover that can be used only while being parked, not driving, so I don't have to worry about sudden weather change.

You guys think it's good idea ?

Google Bronco cockpit cover and you'll find what you're looking for.

I have the raingear cover and its definitely great for the price point. Trail Gear Oasis and broncover are about twice the price, but I think pack up much smaller, which I can see as a huge benefit.

Ford sells a cover but it is definitely not waterproof.

There's several options out there, some better than others as far as being actually waterproof. The problem with all of these (IMO) is that w/o the roof there is nothing to stop the cover from sagging...water collects and puddles. Left unchecked, even for a couple hours, gallons of water can collect, ask me how I know. Since installing my bimini top the puddling effect is greatly reduced as it doesn't allow the cover to sag.

FWIW I have the Ford cockpit cover. Lightweight and fits great however I wouldn't consider it water proof...water resistant at best. Works great to keep out overnight dew/moisture and light misty rain but I wouldn't trust it in a full blown rain.

I picked up a Broncover last summer and it worked great. Getting it on and off quickly takes a little practice but it is well worth it. I'm sure it's not the cheapest option but it is made well. It does have a pole in the middle to keep water collecting in the center.

We picked up this one that works well as a temporary cover. Pack it in the car during the summer while in the mountains and put on quickly if we run into rain showers w/o the hard top.

We also have the Jtops bimini which prevents the sag if any water collects on it.

Rather than forking over hundreds for something that looks “cool” we went down to tractor supply and bought a thick tarp and a bunch of those little bungees with balls on them and tie it down over the top secured to my rock sliders and UCA’s.. works like a charm and cost $15. Used it on a trip to VA over the summer wheeling with doors/top off but didn’t wanna re-install every afternoon for the rain
