Is the trim piece removable? Is so, maybe a smooth 3D printed replacement or some filler w sanding to eliminate the pattern on the stock part.

I'm surprised nobody suggested to the OP to wear long pants. Seems like a perfect solution (unless he's still in the elementary school, driving without license).

I’m 6’4” - 6’5” depending on how straight I stand, 36 inseam. I haven’t had discomfort because that panel will creak if I rest my knee there for long so I generally don’t do it much. If my foot is fully planted on the left side footrest so my leg is more extended, it’s no problem. Foot further back to manspread, yeah, I’m on it. I’d be surprised if someone didn’t make a slightly padded version of that panel, or a stick-on cover.

If you decide to just live with it, you may as well walk into a tattoo shop with that mark showing and get it inked. You’d have a underground Bronco tattoo.
